What are you thinking about Part VII

Has anyone seen that catch made by the NY Giants rookie in Dallas last Sunday? What a catch that was. :jaw:

All right..... I've been doing some analysis on possible places to live, and I have narrowed down the list to three, all of which have far more easily manageable financial goals, and also, I've been advised to try and ask for a loan to pay for the security deposit to secure the apartment, and with that in mind, I did the math on monthly plans, and two are very easily manageable, while the third isn't quite so easy. The two I'm going to consider first have monthly plans UNDER $245/month, making it very easy to manage. The third one has a monthly plan of $310, and will be considered last. Two are close by here, the third is a little out west.

Have you seen the apartments yet , if not be sure to open all the cabinets and closets and check for cockroaches , you don't want to go that again.

Yeah this was on Nightly News tonight Brian Williams was very impress with it too . It was not really world news but it got covered anyway.

I'm just getting started. Visiting the places will likely happen in about 10 days' time.

I don't see it as sexist. IMO

I know you dont but I see it that way. I see it as women inferior to men and I do not like it at all.

I'm thinking about the fact that nobody has posted in the "Current Events" section all day, with the Ferguson decision and riots and all that. I'm thinking that having all those great debates a few years ago seems like a dream.

I meant to post my thread about Ferguson decision in the "Current Events" and not General chat . My head been hurting so much I been having trouble doing things . It's not hurting as much right now and what a relief that it. My eyes were hurting too. There is something wrong with my head from all the blows I got to it from auto accidents and my dad throwing things at my head and hitting me repeatedly on the right side of my head. I need a new head . :(

I am thinking about the very early start to my day tomorrow.... gotta be up at 4 AM so I can get downtown by 7:15 for the Thanksgiving Parade.

Well, put it this way-- my day isn't going to be a long one today. I intend to be in bed by 7 tonight, and get enough rest. Today is going to be one of my busiest days of the year. As for a turkey meal, yeah, I probably will, if I can figure out where.

There is no way I could get up that early , and if I go to bed too early I end up staying awake . I would think it would be hard to get a good night sleep
going to bed with chickens . :giggle:

I got Botts birthday present a day late. :ty: for the snow, Botts.

Does Chicago have casinos? And any you can get to by train? They usually serve up big Thanksgiving dinners. At least they do here in MN.

No. The closest one is in Joliet, and yes, I could, but the Rock Island District isn't exactly a line I want to ride. I'll figure something out eventually.

Thinking how blessed I am. I just won a 100 gals of heating oil from a contest my oil company had. To "pay" for it, I won't get my next two bills. *happy dance*

One thing I have long wondered about for those in the northeast USA where oil seems to be fairly common is the matter of weather stopping the delivery trucks. I am not in that area but have lived with natural gas in the midwest for many years and would choose it if I could get it as it is piped in.

1) order oil before it gets too low and/or if you know a major storm is going to hit around the time you'll need more oil.

2) I rent, therefore, I can't just switch to gas. Plus a gas line needs to be nearby to hook up to. In my case there is a close by gas line but my landlord is not interested in spending the money to get a gas furnace and I don't blame hi as he is not rolling in dough. Perhaps when the furnace dies, he'll consider it.

Typically, how long does 100 gallons last you during a winter? Congrats....

I have a 300 gal tank. Usually fill it twice for the season. Once in the summer when the rates are low and again around December/January. I usually fill it when it gets down to 1/4 tank.

I suspect my furnace is not the most efficient either. It's about 15 years old. I rent the house, so it's up to the landlord to replace it when he wants to (probably when it dies).
