I hear rave reviews about going bilateral! I just implanted in August 2007 and its been an amazing whirlwind of sound! I am going to go bilateral next year with my good ear. I wish you the best of luck!

You know, have you turned the couch or the chair upside down? They sometime have a piece of material on the bottom of it that prevents anything from falling through or anything furry or creepy and crawly from getting in? I have found many things that I lost by turning the couch upside down.

It is my understanding that Canada operates with a universal health care system just like Australia and New Zealand. They have free health care but when it comes to something like a CI or a knee replacement, people have to wait for it. The price having to wait means having everything covered...

Instead of advocating for the right of the child to make his own decision to get an implant, how about you stress the importance of the vaccine that is used to prevent Bacterial Meningitis? Another thing is that this vaccine has to be taken every five years.
