As I've got older, people seem to gather based on mutual interests whether it's going to Deaf events, Church, local bar, bowling league etc. That has been my observation. It's not often I get a private invite to hang out with someone or a group of people before or after an event.

Why I thought that? I don't know. I felt handi-capped because the way my family made me feel excluded. I wasn't allowed to do certain things my younger siblings did like mow the lawn or borrow the family car. I never felt like the big sister to my younger siblings
