Anyone know of the actual size differences of the SP and the UP? I currently have SP-sized hearing aids (old Phonaks) and am looking to get the new Q UP's, but was wondering of the size comparisons. Any input? Note: I ask here because I can't find this info anywhere without going to the Audi...

Chevy57, am I going to be able to fit in and conversate well with others when I know only minimal ASL? I'm just unsure of how deaf clubs/events typically work for those who don't know ASL well. I'm HoH and know lip-reading, but only know alphabet/basic ASL.

Very cool Zeexi - I don't know ASL well these days, but I knew it back when I was younger, just hadn't really got to use it with anyone to keep it fresh. Nowadays I'm interested in learning ASL again as I need to learn for my business startup.

Thanks Anij and everyone. What's the purpose of RID (besides certifications) if everyone likely contacts their local agencies for an interpreter rather than going through RID?

I was just wondering how most interpreters get contacted by those who request an interpreter's services? Do you (interpreter) have an account & contact info up with your agencies website or do you have it through a directory website such as RID.org? Do you get clients by word of mouth, phone...
