How are you feeling today?....

I hurt everywhere. Hubby says it's probably due to the cooler weather. HAHA It was 85º today. I haven't had pain like this in a long time. Perfect timing to travel...NOT!!
Laying here with six different ice packs. Marley can't ind a place to cuddle with me.

That sounds awful. I hope it eases up soon.

A little better. At least I can stay off the potty for longer periods. I just had a cup of plain rice for lunch. So far, so good. At least the fever seems to have broken. Still very weak.

I'm glad you're improving. I hope you'll be back to your usual self soon.

I'm feeling depressed and annoyed but I don't know why. Prednisolone side effects and pain I guess.

I'm looking forward to starting Auslan classes on the 30th though :)

Yuck, Prednisone can have crazy side effects. Being in pain or ill for long periods of time can be super depressing. It definitely happens to me when I get like this. Hang in there, hope you feel better soon.

Thanks. Yeah I've heard it can even cause psychosis. I'm lucky I have an understanding partner who puts up with my grumpiness and doesn't bitch back at me lol.

A lot of people have terrible nightmares while on prednisone. I'm so lucky that my husband is super supportive too. I try really hard to not be grumpy but some days I just can't help it.

Wow I didn't know that. I get several bad nightmares every night. Some nights it's as often as every hour and I end up giving up on sleep and skyping the rest of the night until my partner wakes up. Maybe pred is the culprit.

Today there is fog in the city: I am very happy to go unnoticed ....

but I do not know which city is this: I do not see the writing on the signpost .... :cool2:

When I worked in the pharmacy, I use to suggest that my customers keep a written log while on any new medication. Just something simple, when you took the dose, what you ate, drank, how did you sleep etc.

Just the fact that you have very interrupted to no sleep is enough to make you feel depressed. Hopefully you will get to feeling better soon.

Thanks. That's a very good idea to write things down. Years ago I spent 3 weeks in hospital after my ex's friend gave me bags of grapefruits from her trees and I had grapefruit juice several times a day without knowing it would stop one of my medications working. We only figured it out because my ex talked to the doctors in detail after the first week of admission. Scary.

Here is one person talking about their experience on prednisone. There are many, many stories like this one,

I started taking Prednisone again 2 weeks ago and finished tapering it 4 days ago. Since I started it, I feel like I am tossing and turning all night, I have these nightmares or wild dreams all night and wake up feeling exhausted and sweaty. I thought now that I've been off it a few days it would stop, but last night I got another lovely one. I got to go back to my Mom's funeral and people were laughing and joking and I was screaming in their faces then choking and vomiting all over. I've been having these horribble dreams for 2 weeks and I never feel rested when I wake up.

That's horrific. My dreams are no better :(

Interesting about Prednisone and dreams. I never made that connection. Wow!

Just like I never realized the connection between Parkinson's and dreams until my doctor told me. The out-loud talking and screaming, active kicking, punching, and grabbing--poor Hubby! The weird part is that I'm aware of what I'm doing while I'm dreaming--I just don't realize I'm doing it to him in bed rather than the characters in my dream.

Wow. That's scary. I'm glad he is understanding. It must be difficult for you both. I don't know much about Parkinson's but it sounds awful. How did you find out you had it?

Many years ago when I would dispense Prednisone it came with a bunch of paperwork. We made sure the customer understood what that drung could possibly do to them. So many customers had no clue about their meds and the possible side effects. Typing out those lables for the rx bottles for prednisone was tricky. Take 5 tabs x4 day, 4 tabs x3days, 3 tabs x2 days, 2 tabs x1day.

Ahhh the good old days.

Why are so many of you up so late? It's 2am California time but I'm finally tired so I am going to attempt to fall off to sleep.

My digestive system has not returned to normal. Bet it will be, though, by next week when I go for my physical since I don't plan to see my doctor till then.
I feel ok though still somewhat sluggish/tired. Will be getting back to my normal routine today as I head back to work after my 2-week vacation.

Don't believe I've ever taken Prednisone....but these IV's I do take twice a day...my dreams are really crazy!...Dreamed my oldest sister got us all together and said we all had to move to Ireland......rented out 5 big UHaul trucks and we were off driving to Ireland....other dreams are about Ants in my Pants...*I dunno*....feel it's the weather change...nice and cool in the late PM and early AM.

How do I feel? Frigging amazed I made it this far. Guess pushing my boundaries is something new to look forward to next year. :P

Feeling chipper...for a few more hours at least...(then a nap)...Energy level has increased a lot, but still taking it quite easy.

I'm finally in bed after a long painful day. Trying to get into sleep mode while my partner's cat attacks my feet through the duvet :)
