How are you feeling today?....

Ear pain today...also pain from the PicLine...(blood in the tubes)...ENT asked me Thursday if I needed any pain meds and I said "No"...(as I hate taking pills)...but on Friday...jeez!...wish I had of said "Yes"!...all in all...it's OK...I can deal with it since I'm highly tolerant to pain.
Oh, man…. :(

I hope you feel better soon.

Pain has subsided...fluid in my ear has finally stopped draining...flushed both PicLines this AM...and feeling much better....Only 11 more days and this should be over....all depends upon my blood count and work....(not looking forward to having a PicLine in my arm for 6 months as I've heard some people have had to have)....

My oldest boy has mentioned to taking me out to "57 Heaven" (night club)...:giggle:...if all turns out well..

Sorry to hear you folks are going through so much. I hope things improve soon.

Myself I'm having trouble breathing despite frequent nebuliser treatments, inhalers, injections and a ton of oral meds including weeks of high dose steroids. I'm resisting going to hospital tonight because we'll be there tomorrow for my partner's steroid injection (she has bursitis) so I can go to the emergency department or respiratory medicine clinic then if I'm still like this. If it gets worse I'll call an ambulance though.

Aside from that I've got bad pain in the ulnar nerve down my left arm and hand but I hope that's a sign that the nerves are recovering from my recent spinal injuries. I've still got total loss of sensation in some areas but pain in some ways is better than that. At least I hope it is. Increased Lyrica and OxyContin to help deal with it. Blah. Unlike a lot of people I don't like being on meds that change my mental state.

I was on Prednisone (steroid) for over a year. Bleh! However, my daughter, who's had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis since she was 12 years old, says the steroid injections are good for her knee. So, steroids can be good or bad.

I hope so, too.

I agree with you about not liking meds that side effect the mind.

Hope you see progress with your recovery. :)

I hope the days go quickly for you with no glitches along the way.

After doing a little research, it seems like my symptoms are more like gastroenteritis (commonly called stomach flu, but not really a flu).

Thanks :)

Yeah steroids are wonderful in some ways. The longest I've been on pred is 3 years straight and have been on and off it all my life. I've got brittle asthma, severe eczema, arthritis and ulcerative colitis (which I've had chemo for in the past) so if I'm not on pred for one thing I often am for another. I'm now going to take it permanently they say so will wean it down slowly to the lowest possible effective dose. I'm very nervous about the future as I saw it's terrible long term effects in my grandma.

I hope you won't have the long-term effects.

I feel great. Why? Cause I biked further north than I ever have. I just may try this again before November begins. :P

Thanks. Me too!

How are you doing now?
A little better. At least I can stay off the potty for longer periods. I just had a cup of plain rice for lunch. So far, so good. At least the fever seems to have broken. Still very weak.

I thought you might had the stomach flu , that is nasty .

I'm feeling relieved today. I thought I ruined my hearing aid after it fell into a bucket of oil while I was working on my car. I have an in the ear canal aid and it has never fallen out before, but of course, today it pops right out and goes right into the oil bucket. I was able to get it cleaned out and working though. It would of been a long week with just the crappy hearing I have left in my only working ear.

Wow, that was a close call!

A few years ago, I managed to drop a bte aid into the only cup of water in a rather large bathroom...

Killed it. So you are very lucky!

It was definitely a lucky day for my aid to survive. I always figured I would eventually ruin it by forgetting to take it out before I showered one day.

I hurt everywhere. Hubby says it's probably due to the cooler weather. HAHA It was 85º today. I haven't had pain like this in a long time. Perfect timing to travel...NOT!!
Laying here with six different ice packs. Marley can't ind a place to cuddle with me.

It's gonna be a whole lot cooler when you get here in a couple of days. Highs in the 50/60's, lows in the 30/40's. Might wanna bring a sweater, just in case you may need it-- those lake winds are biting right now.

I've done that twice but thankfully they were ok although I had to get new speakers.
