One night stand

Here's the deal with relationships. Unless you discover and resolve the issue, you will pick out someone like your ex and repeat the same behavior patterns again. It's a compulsion to resolve unhealed childhood issues. Spend some time thinking about your childhood and how you behave in a relationship. Your relationship with your father is a good place to start since that was your childhood role model of men. I've BTDT and got the t-shirt.

Oh my dad polar opposite Dallas!

The difference there is - high risk sex (one night stands, sex with heroin users, unprotected sex etc.) and safe sex (sex with someone you know as a friend and trust, sex with a spouse, practicing safe sex, etc.).

I do not engage in high risk sex. I am a chicken shit when it comes to that.

I do not have the clap, herpes, gohnorhea (gee, I don't even know how to spell it) or any other type of STD.

I had a roommate once that engaged in high risk sexual activity and spread crabs throughout the whole house. That was gross and freaked me out. I moved and had to boil everything I owned. :giggle:

I have never had an STD. I have probably be lucky that way. I was completely irresponsible when younger, when condoms and HIV were not, how do you say, well spoken of. Never used protection when younger. Did later when single, for sure. How I never catch anything I feel lucky. I was naughty when early 20s.

Still, I don't think it fair to scare our poor young lady for having a one night stand with a person she likely knew and used condom. Geez, *I'M* scared and it wasn't even me.

wow,
pretty sad fact about this world in the present time..

That doesn't make any sense at all. He's a married man. He said he doesn't have one night stands.

I do not know if he's married or not. He speak like he is single and would abstain.:hmm: He speak like sex is evil and that sex when single leave you to be expose to STD and that married do not. More married people cheat than single. I'm confused by what he says.

 The things people share on AD!

Yeah, I know. That former roommate was a "she". It was 20 years ago. I am still very good friends with her, we both have done a lot of growing up - her high risk sexual behaviour involved excessive one night stands (she went clubbing at "meat markets"). She was bi and absolutely wild. I was too stupid at the time to really see all the red flags until the crabs. That was when I freaked. It was like "Holy ...... holy .... holy ... mother of .....holy ... those are NOT freckles!!!".

Anyways, she is married now and has two kids and has calmed down quite a bit. She is a very good mommy and loves both of her kids more than anything. We both giggle like old friends do over the crazy stuff we used to do - and I still jib jab her about what she would tell her daughter if her daughter did the same thing she did.

But that is ok, she just jib jabs me back.

Reality is scary, although, I don't think that's what we are trying to do. Well at least not I am. I'm still laughing about the naked testicles. :giggle:

Am I suddenly less creepy now I will tell you I know the person since grade 7? His brother date my sister in high school. His mom and my aunt work together. My nephew friends his nephew.

You do *not* have to justify yourself to him.

I am married and I am very sexually active. My wife is my best friend and I love her more than I love myself. I would never cheat on her because no other woman on this earth compares to her (to me anyways). She is my angel on this earth. I know that I can trust and confide in her and that she accepts me for who I am with all of my flaws. I would never do anything to lose her trust and love. To me, she is more precious and valuable to me than anything.

Some things just cannot be expressed in words. You cannot get this type of love through meaningless sex. The two of us are soulmates and we were made for each other. I spent my whole life trying to find her through other women. Each time I had my heart broken, it just led me closer to her.

Good that you recognize that!

I think it's true that fathers have a big influence on what sort of men their daughters choose - and sometimes it's exactly that, looking for the exact opposite!

I never said she was creepy - and you are right, she does not have to justify herself with anyone. The only person she has to justify herself to - is herself.

I don't think its that I go look for opposite my Dad...I love my Dad very much, he amazing and kind and gentle and nice...is just happen to meet / fall in love with Dallas and he happen be complete opposite my Dad.

No...you never say "Sun you creepy" but you DID say people who have one-night-stands creepy, and since I had one...I extrapolated.

The relationship with the mother is important. I've read that we pick out someone with the worst traits as both parents. "Worse" meaning the most troubling emotionally. This only applies when a person has troubled relationships. Fighting, instability, breaking up and reconciling. You know, lots of drama.

My dad, was a nerd. When I think of it, I like nerds, just not like my dad though, rather boring.

My parents married since 1977. Very happy. Remember no drama growing up. Happy childhood :)

It means a dentist, aware he had AIDS, wore two gloves while treating a patient and transmitted the virus to her anyway.

How hard is that really to understand?

Oh, okay, thought it was someone who wear two condom.
