One night stand

Thank you...I hope too.

I know you don't think this about me from what you posted earlier ... but I hope you get your life back on track with the man you are in love with.

My wife did the same thing to one of her ex's - she learned from the mistake. But yeah, what she did those many years ago freaks me out, but not enough to keep me from avoiding her now.

Hope that makes sense.

People who engage in one night stands creep me out. Perhaps you misunderstood what I was conveying. A one night stand is engaging in high risk sexual behaviour. It can be comparable to someone playing Russian Roullette. Suppose you have a revolver with just one bullet in it. You spin the chamber, then point it at your head and pull the trigger. It goes "click" and it doesn't fire the bullet.

You might not get a life altering STD or even AIDs the first time, but that just means you are lucky. If you constantly engage in one night stands, you will eventually get an STD or even AIDS which can kill you. You can even become a carrier and pass it on to others.

THAT creeps me out. Just like it would creep me out to watch someone playing Russian Roullette.

So, then, you *never* have sex?:hmm:

Sorry you had to experience that. Being a Christian, to me anyways, has never been about being perfect. The message I get from it is a personal striving to be forgiven for being imperfect.

But yeah .... I have met some wonderful atheists and psychotic Christians, and vice versa.

Absolutely.

Life is just so crazy these days. I know of someone who has an STD, but has had one nighters unprotected, and after really researching the disease, because previously I wasn't sure of the specifics, I'm really like, my goodness. No you can't die from it, but a condom should always be used. Then I knew of a beautiful young woman, she was set up by a friend, gang raped, and caught HIV. So in turn, mad because she had it, had sex with men raw, and not told them. Life is just getting to crazy. Although some people might think "Damn, hearing about all the things going around, is a downer," or "It's not going to happen to me." It's just a little unnerving when you really educate yourself.

The difference there is - high risk sex (one night stands, sex with heroin users, unprotected sex etc.) and safe sex (sex with someone you know as a friend and trust, sex with a spouse, practicing safe sex, etc.).

I do not engage in high risk sex. I am a chicken shit when it comes to that.

I do not have the clap, herpes, gohnorhea (gee, I don't even know how to spell it) or any other type of STD.

I had a roommate once that engaged in high risk sexual activity and spread crabs throughout the whole house. That was gross and freaked me out. I moved and had to boil everything I owned. :giggle:

Plenty "religious" people that I have encountered are extreme freaks. Not to go entirely off topic, but I was in a debate where very religious people were talking negative about atheist, etc, but you know what was funny, most of them go party Saturday night, get drunk, curse, do all the things they are not suppose to do, then go to church on Sunday morning like nothing happened. I've met a person that lets just say was closer to God then most, and he was the biggest freak! So my point is, a person is just a person, religious or not. Judge what they do, more than what they say. I don't judge a person whether they are an athiest or a religious person, I judge them by their actions.

Yep. And they act like they are better than others.

I would say that his actions would prove that he wasn't close to God at all.

Am I suddenly less creepy now I will tell you I know the person since grade 7? His brother date my sister in high school. His mom and my aunt work together. My nephew friends his nephew.

No, you are not creepy, I never said you were. What you had was not what I call a one night stand. I understand that there are different definitions for what people call a one night stand. What I understand a one night stand to be is random casual sex with someone you just met.

You had sex with someone you knew very well ... so, to me, that does not mean you decided to yank some horny stranger off the street and shag him.

But, from reading your posts, I think what you have done was actually try to reach out intimately to someone you knew as a result of breaking up. That is not a one night stand. You were looking for solace and comfort to make the pain of breaking up go away.

There are plenty of songs out there for that - and I do not think there is a soul alive who hasn't done that very thing.

Well most religious people that I know feel that they have some type of connection to God, and then do all types of crazy stuff. The guy in particular was a Preacher, or one of the other head hanchos in the church. He claimed to be closer to God, and that was assumably was his title, but that's another story in its entirety.

What = 'double glove dentist?'

It means a dentist, aware he had AIDS, wore two gloves while treating a patient and transmitted the virus to her anyway.

How hard is that really to understand?

Oh!

I think you use euphemism for wear two condoms! Lol.

What exactly is the point of this thread?

Fiesty are we? Lol, but yea, it was self explanatory, maybe she was just checking. I'd be beyond angry if that happened to me. I won't even say what I'd do.

I just discourage people from addressing me personally with asinine questions.

If they want to bother other people, I try to stay out of it.
