Which is better: AT&T iPhone or Verizon iPhone?

as far as I know, AT&T can make the iPhone data only for deaf customers with the TAP plan. But you have to call AT&T and request that service, or go to an AT&T shop and ask for it.. if ordering online, you HAVE to pick a voice+data package (but then you call and ask for the TAP plan and the AT&T rep will take care of it). I've been told Verizon doesn't offer Data only plans for their iPhones. That is, if you want a data-only plan. AT&T's pricing plan seems more reasonable, Verizon costs more.
I myself am "shopping" around too for a new phone since I have the Sidekick LX 2009 from T-mobile and that will be useless by May 31. Pft! Am thinking of just switching to AT&T or Verizon, since Wyoming offers both (well, AT&T should be rolling in sometime this month as they replace Alltel).

Your info about VZ was wrong.

Our iPhones under VZ are data plan without voice plan.

Text Only Messaging Plans from Verizon Wireless

ATT -$45 per month for 2GB data

Verizon - $55 per month for unlimited data and more coverage than ATT.

Only $10 different and reliability is very important to us.

You are right. How many GB data plan? how much?

Dont know yet. Pribably similar to at&t pricing, who knows.

Under Verizon, I am eligible for upgrade on 5/02/11. Under my current contract we have unlimited texting and data on my phone. Is there a chance if I sign the assumption of the contract papers that I will have this grandfathered in?

Yes, you can keep grandfathered data plan to transfer new phone. What type of your phone do you own? Want VZ iPhone 4 or 5?

I currently own LG EnV3. I don't care which iPhone (4 or 5) but looks like I will be getting iPhone 4 as my mom wants me to do this as quickly as possible because my dad is wanting to upgrade his phone and move me off their plan onto my own. The only difference is that we received notification that my mom and my phones are eligible for upgrades as of 5/02/11. Appearently Verizon is offering an early upgrade for some reason. I thought the contracts were solidly in place until 9/02/11.

Do you have nationwide messaging plan for it? $54?

Nationwide messenging? I can send and receive messages from anyone in the country and there's no extra charges for it. I'll have to look at the bill and see as we are all on the same plan only my phone has unlimited text and data whereas we all share 500 minutes every month - my parents use most of them though as I rarely use voice. I believe my parents each have 500 texts every month. It's entirely possible this was changed or tweaked when Verizon assumed our Alltel contract during the takeover we've just haven't noticed yet because we never go over.

You can use a prepaid plan on VZW iphone, if you paid a full retail price VZW iphone, didn't you know that?

Did you know that the full retail price of the iPhone is ridiculous? I still pay 'full-price' for the phone only it is spread out over the two year contract. This would be silly to do. You would actually lose money this way. Pre-paid plans tend to be more expensive in the long run than contract plans.

iPhone® 4. Verizon. It Begins.

The full retail price is $649.99 for the 16GB and $749.99 for the 32GB phone and even then you must agree to a month-to-month plan. This is an option for idiots with bad credit.

No, there are idiots and then there are idiots with bad credit.

There's also good people and good people with bad credit.

What I meant was that it would be foolish to pay full retail price for the iPhone and still agree to a month-to-month plan where a data package is required. A person that does this is foolish and likely cannot qualify for a contract phone due to poor credit but they are willing to burn a big hole in their pocket for a phone. I would rather pay $199.99 with a 2 year agreement w/ data package than to pay $649.99 with a month-to-month plan with data package. If you don't keep your month-to-month plan paid - you've just paid $649.99 for an iPod Touch which goes for $250-300 at walmart. See the sillyness in it?

Why would anyone do this? Only a person with bad credit that was desperate enough for an iPhone would do this.

I didn't mean to imply that people with bad credit are idiots.

*MMMM*, ;)

Nah, it is not expensive. Verzion offering the prepaid unlimited plan for 49.95 month payments without worry ETF.

thanks for link. ;)

Yeah, your risk bet that always makes a profit. ;)

You mentioned "Must agree month to month". not require it, did you know that? Few days ago, I already converse with VZW retailers about it, they exampled me in person. but you could be right. Because they sometime trick, as you know.

This is an option for idiots with bad credit.
Yeah, Cool.. Prepaid is good opporunity and options for customers, if whoever dislike the cheap phone/ dumb phones from MVNO or Most MVNO doesn't offering the hi ended prepaid phones. :P

Most of them are mp3 and some mp4. Where is an app?
huh? what are you talking about?

we're talking about iTunes... it's in your computer. You have to use iTunes to connect to your iPod/iPhone to manage songs.

How be itunes suck even other softwares do not have Apple's app?
eh why should I bother explaining? You don't use iTunes for songs anyway.

iPhone 4 with 16GB is pretty plenty to me.
when it comes to songs - 16gb is too small. way too small. What you think why they offer 32gb for iPhone? or 64gb for iPod Touch? or 160gb for iPod Classic?

you think it's for apps and games? nope!!!!! people are obsessed with songs and they want thousands thousands thousands of songs so they need more than 16gb.

Managing thousands of songs isn't hard in iTunes for me. I have around 5,000 I believe. Obviously I couldn't put all of them on the iPhone as I would want to save my memory for other things. I just simply rotate them out as I see fit.

that's because your songs are properly formatted. What if you have 300 improperly formatted songs? pain in the ass.

I had a friend that had this problem. She had this god awful playlist manager program on her desktop and said she had around 300 songs on it, yet she couldn't manage it. A lot of the songs weren't playable or of very poor quality and some were duplicates. I purchase all of my music from iTunes - however a lot of those songs are mp3 imports from WinAmp. I had purchased iPod and decided instead of fiddling with two programs I just imported my WinAmp playlist and got rid of WinAmp altogether.

I never use iTunes for manage songs. I use it for app and video only. I am Deaf and what the point to download another software that better than itunes for songs that I dont need it?
