Feds to monitor BMI

I have 32' waist. Working on getting it closer to 28' by Christmas. Is it doable? Possibly. I've been a 26' before.

I wouldn't want smaller than a 34...... It would look really weird with my frame

Hmm....mine is 'average' for BMI at 5'4 and weighing 130 pounds on one site.

Another said I was 'overweight'.

I think that's cause I'm all :booty:

Bust:36 Waist: 30 Hip: 37

That is normal right?

How do we really know if we are okay?

Sounds good too me :)

Since we are throwing all the measurements out there

Neck is 17 1/2
Chest 46
Biceps 16 1/2

How is it different from race, gender, religion, and so forth? Government asks those questions too.

Geez...

My neck is a 17 1/2 with a 36" chest.

And, yes, I do have a hard time finding tees that fit.

No idea on biceps.

That's a big neck.....

There is a difference between bodybuilding and that extreme crap.....I think it is the extreme stuff Dr's refer to as bad.

And they shouldn't...........but that is a topic for another thread. Let's stick to BMI. :)

Not to mention body-building isn't even considered as a healthy hobby by sports physiologists and doctors.

Especially if you're so musclebound you cannot wipe your own butt. :)

Perfect example of bodybuilding gone too far...on steroids...??? Maybe not...??

His BMI is probably over the roof! But it's alllll muscle instead of fat.

That's dangerous if you go overboard and do it in a hurry by way of steroids.

With the overtraining and the ridiculous diets some go on, it's not healthy. For instance, take a look at the "professional" bodybuilders. That's not the way to go. Especially if they keep up with it as they get older, it'll put more stress on the heart. They have to change their ways of staying in shape as they age.

From what I know, bodybuilding can be healthy if it's done naturally along with plenty of cardio workouts and healthy eating.

I think the point is, just don't go extreme on it and you'll be fine. Too much of everything isn't a good thing.

However, if one wants to get into shape... bodybuilding isn't really recommended for anyone to start with.

I agree, Banjo. I am well developed but only through hard work. I feel sorry for professional body builders.

Dunno and don't care. Why don't you start a thread about it. :)

This thread is about the government possessing private info.

Whether or not you are morbidly obese is hardly private information. Not easy to hide when you are carrying an extra 100 lbs around.

EXACTLY!!! It makes no sense!!!!

"I have the right to hide my gender, my race, and the fact whether I'm fat or not!"

"Um... Ma'am, I can see that you are a white obese female."

Ironically, the fact that you're fat is even harder to hide than if you're a cross dresser/transsexual/mixed race.....

Excellent. Since "fat" people are so easy to recognize then it should be easy to calculate obesity through observation. Much more reliable than a chart. :)

Government has no reason to need the names......what's next "National No Burger List" maybe a "Do not deliver list" for pizza places too..... :laugh2:

Maybe Ronald McDonald standing by a scale with a sign "You must weigh X to order fries"

Maybe Burger King could become obama king and change their jingle.....

Hold the Meat
Hold the bun
No burger for you
you weigh a ton
Why don't you just skip lunch
and go for a run.

Have it our way at obama King!
