Wanting equal rights is not selfish. Civil unions are BABY STEPS, but CERTAINLY not equality.

kthx.

Right. It's like the concept of separate but equal. No such thing. Civil union is like offering a bone to a barking dog to shut it up.

I support Civil Union, I have couple of gay friends and I want them to have same opportunity as straight people have. While I'm not for the Gay marriage, I'm 100% for Civil Union and I think the partner should have the right to make decision on their partner as a husband would do to the wife and vice visa. I think it's a bit unfair how wives/Husbands have the right to make a choice for their spouse if the spouse is hurt or is unable to do so when the partners who's gay or Lesbian can't, only the family members are allowed to make the choice.

That's my opinion.

I understood your opinion and I think you made a good post. Well, I think it's still UNequal because gay couples don't get a right to marry... I only agreed with below comment, see the bold font, I am very favor in equal rights, yes. Well, guess what? Marriage is suppose to be part of the equality rights, it's not matter if it is race, gender, religion, background, and etc etc.

My opinion, gay marriage is suppose to be part of civial union, whatever you like it or not. Why gay couples can't get a marriage?? It's pretty not fair...

Just goes to show...it happens in all species. Pretty good evidence it isn't a conscious choice!:P

Have you considered intoducing your dog to Byrdie's dog?

Ain't that the truth! (don't care if Ain't isn't a word)

My dog has gotten my other one pregnant. (after the "stuck" issue)

I think he is BI. so I don't know how she would feel about him leaving her for byrdies dog. :giggle:

As for me thinking of the gay marriage.

To be honest. At first I was against it. I did not understand. I thought it was just a choice. I have a gay cousin that I have talked to a few months back. Then he made me remember how he was since we were kids. He always been different even as a child. I remember as teen years I would accuse him of being gay. He gotten so mad and yelled at me. Saying he wasn't.. but we both knew and others knew he was different.

Now I look back... and I understand it is not a learned behavior. He was always that way since we were kids. Like Shawn said in another thread. It is in the genes.

Gays should have rights as well as anyone.
