your family have heart history

my grandma and my dad have diabetic dues both dr's order but i dont have diabetic also but my late step-dad got one.

I hope that your grandmother will be in a good health soon as possible. Most older patients survive with their pacemaker after the surgery. My grandmother had a pacemaker for about 10 years.

Does your father / uncle takes coumadin pill everyday? This medicine makes their blood thinner. You mean that your father has a plastic aorta valve? If yes, he takes coumadin daily, and it requires him to take a blood test every month or two months for rest of his life.

Coumadin is very risk of bleeds if cut profoundly. It is difficult to control coumadin in the right balance like not too much coumadin or too little especially weather condition like hot day or cold days that makes the blood level changes once a while.

FDA does not allow to sell Exanta in the U.S. from Europe. This medicine is alternative to coumadin that has no side effect and a blood test every 6 months to one year which is not too bad. But, I am not sure if the Europe still uses this Exanta for the research on patients. I heard it a few years ago, and was told that the Exanta is a little expensive than coumadin. For example, 10 dollars for one coumadin pill (probably without insurance?). I guess that Exanta cost around 15 dollars per pill.
It's because drug stores want extra profit.

I hope that everything is good with you.

Not anyone that I know of has heart history in my family.

Heart History in my family is not really bad, but little bad.. But only, my father have Heart Diease which is worse, but sort of worse than Aids and Cancer because they can be die in a day next if don't take the medicine, but pain suffer which Aids and Cancer are worse than heart diease... My father have that and he take the medicine for maybe over 15 years? That's pretty long but I did check on my heart and I don't have heart diease, but have to do that to check every year, never know if it will show up or not... :ugh:

My dad died of massive heart attack last June 25 in his sleep. He was only 58. It was unbelievable! But Im doing ok. I need to drink more red wine almost everyday and Im only 36, man.

Nobody in my family has a heart disease history but it doesnt matter. I was diagnosed as having atrial fibrillation last year and was hospitalized for 1 week. On top of that, I was 8 months pregnant! I am on meds to keep my heartbeat regular. Every now and then, especially when I go to sleep, it feels like it is not regular and skipping beats and then I become paranoid and it starts pounding. *sighs*

Anyone has AF (atrial fib)? Do u have those episodes?
