ACWORTH, Ga. (Nov. 19) - Three boys ages 8 and 9 were being held Monday in a detention center on charges of kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl in the woods near a suburban apartment complex, officials said.

The alleged attack happened Thursday and the girl's mother reported it to authorities Sunday, Acworth police Capt. Wayne Dennard said.

"The juvenile victim stated that an 8-year-old boy and two 9-year-old boys that she had been playing with earlier pulled her into a wooded area, where one of the boys raped her," Dennard said.

The three boys were charged with rape, kidnapping, false imprisonment and sexual assault, Dennard told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Their names were being withheld because of their age.

Prosecutors have not decided whether to try the suspects as adults.

"That decision hasn't been made," said Kathy Watkins, a spokeswoman for the Cobb County District Attorney's office. She had no further comment.

Calls to the Acworth Police Department were not returned Monday morning.

Acworth is 30 miles northwest of Atlanta in the city's fast-growing outer suburbs.

Ohh that just disappeared from my mind to Banjo... Yeah we still can fantasy about the sex even though we are not biological ready for the sex. But for only 9 years old boys, I wondering what on the earth would they kidnap the girl for sex while they are not really seriously about the sexual desire..

I told him i know he never wet his bed ever since he was toddler.. All of sudden I realized it was a wet dream... he had no father to help him... so I sat down... explained to him.. it was normal for him... he dreamed of having sec and all of sudden he had sperm all over on him.... i told him it is called a wet dream... nothing was wrong.... he understood.. he was happy i was not upset or angry.. i explained to him in calm way....so be it.. i went in my room.. i laughed in quiet room while all kids were in school...

Where said in my link from Wikipedia that 9 years old boy can have full erceted in that list, "Early postnatal effects"? I don't find anything else about the penis except for "Advanced postnatal effects".

Yes that is normal because he was 13 years old, almost same mine, I start have wet dream and have liblio, first time having the cum when I was 12. I know 9 years old boy don't experience that yet.

There would skin tissue left behind, hair samples left behind *not only pubic either*, people do lose hair daily and shed skin all the time. If that girls mother had taken her daughter right away for a rape kit. There would have been some evidence.


This is what I dont support happening. After baths and showers there are no evidence, sometimes the system IS used for revenge and stories are made up. Im not saying this is what is happening here.

But in the cases of children, I believe a rape kit should be used in ALL cases. I have heard of cases where children will blame someone else and later it will be found to be a close family member.

There is little in the way of defenses within the juvenile justice system. One only has to look at my son's case to realize just how out of control and devestating it can be.

As for children that age not having erections or sexual fantasies, that is false, they can and do. But usually when they act upon those fantasies it is found that they themselves were victims of abuse.

Im not saying that this didnt happen. But I am saying I would reserve my judgement for a later time. There may be alot more to this story than what is being told. And if it is true, what good would be trying these children as adults?

They are not being offered rehabilitation, these children are being offered being put into places with other kids much worse than they are. As a society we have to come to the point where we just wanna hide away the problems, but locking them up.

that is NOT unusal! Girls can and do start having their periods from the ages of 9-16. I have known some girls start as young as 9 and some girls start as old as 16. It all depends on the homornal balances inside a young girls body.
