The following are characteristics that qualify a person as a potential domestic terrorist according to DHS training being pushed on local law enforcement:

Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)

Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)

Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)

Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)

Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)

Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)

Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government

Homeschooling

Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties

Belief in a New World Order conspiracy

People engaged in the above activities or mind-set may be considered "extremists" or "militia groups" that exist in our communities and are "hiding in plain sight, ready to attack."

I'm an extremist according to this list.

Hm. Maaaaybe 2 or 3/10, but two of those would be stretching it. (I've got a survivalist book or two on my Kindle, but I highly doubt I'll ever use it, and I'm more concerned about inefficiency, stability and fairness when it comes to doubts about big government.)

Also, your link is broken.

Glad I sold my husbands car this weekend. It had NRA stickers on it. Also sold his gun.

I hate these lists of characteristics that make someone something.
You know one of the critieria for being a serial sexual offender, according to the FBI, is a curiousity, as a teen, in pornograpy such as Playboy Mag. That would cover about 95% of the male population.:P

99.4% more likely. :)

Hubby is a lifetime member of NRA, and I'm a lifetime member of JPFO, and annual member of Grassroots of SC, and we're both CCW holders.

I am absolutely not worried about NRA members being domestic terrorists. I know many of these people, and they are very patriotic people.

We did home school our daughter for a couple years.

We took an oath to support and defend our country's Constitution.

We have "Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)."

So?

That's an old picture of me in the Post Office.

Anecdotal 'evidence' that the Dept of H.S. is saying this?

Uh, primary source cite, plz. Oh wait. It's just a compilation of stuff a guy has 'heard' over the years. Well, sure, take a bunch of one liners out of context and put it on your blog and you have yourself some newz!
