You Sir Are A Bigot

btw - why have a stance like that and yet... your stance is opposite on Ground Zero mosque? They endorsed no such violence. They preached no such violence. wassup?
If you review my posts on the subject, you will see that I never stated that the mosque shouldn't be prohibited from construction. I always stated that it wasn't prudent for them to build a mosque at that site if they sincerely want to improve relations with non-Muslims in America.

Who are the "they" to which you refer as endorsing no violence? Which Muslim preachers, and how do you know what they preach?

Suppose one of the workers is homosexual. Okay to make him uncomfortable, but unacceptable to make the homo haters uncomfortable?
No. That's why bosses shouldn't forward any emails, pro or con, about homosexuality or other sensitive subjects that aren't related specifically to their jobs, to their employees.

I think we all knew we'd eventually arrive at this stalemate. So, as Reba said, it was wrong to send out that email.

right - I hold no ill will toward any Mormons and their belief. I only have a problem with ONE person - Boyd Packer. He is the one who said such thing - him him him. He does not speak for God. He is just like us - a mortal man... flawed.

Pope Benedict has regretted his Islam remarks. And Pope's public apology for the sins of Christians back in old time like the Inquisition and the Crusades.

In the LDS church, last Sunday, he did speak for God. Those are now the offical teachings of the church.

including discrimination against religion?

No, regardless on religions.

Hate speech isn't diverse, of course, it is discrimination, despite about protected by freedom of speech.

Would you like to use offensive languages against on gay people? If you did so that means you have no respect, even it is not diverse.

I do understand about Mormon's condemn with homosexuality but I don't think it is right way to promote hate speech against on gay people, such as use strong language involved, that what Packer used.

If Mormon saying that they are against on homosexuality because it is religious reason, that's not hate speech.

so you believe that we should be tolerant of intolerant viewpoint?

If not you are merely choosing a side. Tolerence means accepting all views....you said it yourself....
and again - refer to my post #187 where Pope has made public apology. If Pope was wrong, surely Boyd Packer can be wrong... no?

:dunno: Ask President Packer....it's his view

No offense, but.... that is absolutely, purely, and irrevocably pathetic.

right. There is a chance that one may recant it at later date.... even in 40 years, right?

Do you believe that when living in a diversified community, everybody should be tolerant of each other, right?

:dunno: Ask President Packer....it's his view
what's there to ask? He's already said it.

hateful speech affects us.

did iman at Ground Zero preach of violence?

I agree with this statement. Supervisors have no business trying to garner support for pet causes. It reminds me of the boss selling Girl Scout cookies to his/her subordinates.

This (above) is a terrifying thought. A human speaking for God, and people believing it. This is why it took me over 50 years to become a Christian. I never trusted the human aspect of it. More Koolaid? Got your pocket full of quarters and your new Nikes on?

The rest of this thread reads completely opposite of the thread on the Mosque being built near ground zero. All the players are now saying the opposite things here that they said in the Mosque thread. Could it be related to the fact that a large number of Muslims are not white? And that a large number of Mormons are white?

If I thought for a second that you actually cared about it, I would explain, but you don't, so I won't bother.

The Greatest Hypocrisy of the AD History, perhaps? :cool2:

I don't? I am not atheist, if that's what you're getting at.
