Xbox 360 QWERTY thumb keyboard is official

xbox-spring-2007-update-01.jpg

After Gamespot mistakenly "leaked" a couple pictures on their site, the Xbox 360 thumb keyboard went official. It's scheduled to be released in the summer, and will take advantage of all the new features in the Xbox dashboard update that's coming in early May. The keyboard plugs into the standard headset jack so look for it to come with it's own headset as the jack will be taken up and it's nicely backlit. Nice!

PowerON, Ha Ha Ha Ha, you probably are right that I aint true video game fan. Who knows.. ;)

I am not strongly collect classic video games. When I was kid, I used to play atari games till I stopped to play. Because I found new hobby as wandered another path of life.

Now I am back to back video games. I like to play modern techology video game like xbox, x360. I collect over 300 Xbox, X360 games. Is that mean I am true video game fan now? Ha!

Hey XBGMER, do you play online?? If not, I don't see the purpose of getting this QWERTY keyboard controller... If you do play online, send me a FR mate! I am always looking to add deaf gamers who play frequently on my Friend's List for XBL, and XDG (Xtreme Deaf Gamers) clan/group/forum.

While I do like the way it looks(man it looks F'n slick), I think I will stick with AIM on SK2, and use a PS2 USB mini keyboard that I got from EB Games for $10. I also am rather wary of any 'pop ups' that could interferre with the XBL connection. For example, in Rainbow 6: Vegas, it is prone to freezing the game if you have notifications on, or use the guide button to check messages etc. Microsoft can flash flashy all their tech stuff, updated dashboard etc, but I will wait and see how it performs and hear from others how it goes. Supposedly Live Messenger will be implemented in the update due this spring/summer for XBoxlive.

Ooh... this looks interesting. This would be great for those chats in those online games... such as MMORPG games. Heh!

LOL I guess Sony beat M$ to being the first out with a add-on even though its 3rd party. I got a GameShark qwerty add-on that clamps directly to my sixaxis.

I didnt know about the add on until today when I went to the Best Buy and found this one. I got the 2nd to last in stock for $30.

It works okay as long as every letter punched on the keyboard has to be confirmed by the x on the sixaxis. I'm still figuring out how to bypass the x button and type straight on it. Also it's not bluetooth enabled, but it uses regular wireless. Plus it is powered by its own 2 AAA batteries instead of mooching off the sixaxis's battery.

I took pics to prove that the GameShark sixaxis add on is for real....

It does work with the PS3's web browser and in game messaging.

That's awesome... Sony and PS3 got alot of support from Gameshark since Xbox 360 isn't anymore, also Gameshark and Action Replay are working on new program for PS3 but cannot working on Xbox 360 for some reason, such as firmwire update was whipped all game saves off from other gamers, when they want sharing with game saves. Xbox 360 is used to got support until fall update was released.

It looked funny. Typing on above analog sticks. I rather below analog sticks.

It is easier what i typed on sidekick and blackberry that always below. Above analog stick is bad idea.

I liked xbox 360 querty keyboard joystick. It looks smooth and sleek.
