I agree, making new amendment are exetremely hard :)

Senator wouldn't feel welcome to make again and again after failed then they can rid the prosposal amendment, can't vote again anymore so christians need get over it but they don't need moving to Massachusetts or California.

I doubt that would pass but it will fail again, alot easier to fail.

Agreed. The real fear here is that Christians in Idaho think the fact that Massachusetts made same-sex marriage legal and perhaps soon New York will follow suit makes their lives harder in some vague way.

That's the problem. Those states that want to decide are not allowed to. Some states have already passed laws that prohibit same-sex "marriages", BUT the courts have disallowed them. The reason that a national Constitutional amendment was proposed was so that the state and district courts wouldn't be able to strike down the state laws.
 
I think it's interesting that many posters seem to think that only Christians are opposed to same-sex "marriages", and that all non-religious people support same-sex "marriages". Are there any statistics to support that?

Thanks for the link. I tried searching before and couldn't find anything. Your site is a good resource.

Anyway, I checked it out. Unless I overlooked it, I still didn't find a poll that sorted the pro/con vote on the marriage amendment by religious affiliation.

So, I still don't know why posters at AD assume that the only people opposed to same-sex marriage are Christians. Maybe it is just because Christians are more likely to speak out publicly about it. :dunno:

While Fred Phelp's approach is more hardcore.

God did say that homosexuals are not welcome to Heaven if the homosexual does not repent and the homosexual has to want Jesus Christ in their hearts and to stop sinning then he or she will go to Heaven.

It is right there in the Holy Bible.

I take a more different and a softer approach.

In case you have not noticed, I was not disrespecting you. I simply said I refer gays and lesbians to this Christian organization run by former homosexuals who now are Real Christians in body mind and their spirit is now different because he or she has been made whole again through the regenerating process by The Lord Jesus Christ. I also said I do not necessarily agree with Fred Phelp's approach but he has the right to freedom of speech too. That was all. Thank you very much. :angel:
