I'm sure some of you know about World Deaf Timerfest. It will be held on Wednesday, August 30th to Monday, September 4th (Labor Day) in Slayton, Oregon. Slayton is about one hour south of Portland.

Many deafies can join the woodcarving contest and if they win, they have a chance to get a prize (up to 750 dollars). There are more activites besides woodcarving, including hardhat throwing, beer drinking, and dart contests, swimming, golfing, playing basketball and volleyball, picnicking, socializing, etc. Sounds like exciting!!

If you want to go there, you may register and pay $70.00 per adult and $40.00 per child (6-17 years of age) to join that timberfest. Here is a registration information, check out, http://www.wdtxxv.com/?_=registration Unfornately, all cabins and tepees are now rented out. I recommended you to camp in a tent or rent a room at a motel somewhere near Timberfest.

Check the website of the World Deaf Timberfest out, http://www.wdtxxv.com

It is so stupid for anyone to register it for 70 bucks! Absolute not.

It's actually $55 if you register it early. $70 is at the door price. That's always typical for most events in the US.

I still do not want to spend $55. If other businesses see this price, then they will do the same thing, and even their price will go higher. It is a game for them to make money.

Last spring, we went to a lumber expo for building cabins, it cost 30 dollar. Of course, we did not go in. No f way. In fact, there are not many people at the expo. (These people who went inside are real dope. I bet that they realize that the food service is not included in their payment. I love to go to an expo, and it is fun to look around, but we have to be reasonable to check the price first.) If it is 10 dollars, that would be all right.

Let's say that you have a girlfriend and a child, it cost you 65 dollars. (30 + 30 + 5 = 65) Wouldn't you want to spend that money to go to an expo show? Oh, I forgot that it is not included the food... and perhaps the gas. I cannot believe it. Darn it.

It made me think that deaf are stupider than hearing people to spend 70 bucks to go that expo. If I am rich, I would never spend that money. I know some people that are very wealthy, and they never spend a lot of money. I realize that they are right in some way.
