I'm sure some of you know about World Deaf Timerfest. It will be held on Wednesday, August 30th to Monday, September 4th (Labor Day) in Slayton, Oregon. Slayton is about one hour south of Portland.
Many deafies can join the woodcarving contest and if they win, they have a chance to get a prize (up to 750 dollars). There are more activites besides woodcarving, including hardhat throwing, beer drinking, and dart contests, swimming, golfing, playing basketball and volleyball, picnicking, socializing, etc. Sounds like exciting!!
If you want to go there, you may register and pay $70.00 per adult and $40.00 per child (6-17 years of age) to join that timberfest. Here is a registration information, check out, http://www.wdtxxv.com/?_=registration Unfornately, all cabins and tepees are now rented out. I recommended you to camp in a tent or rent a room at a motel somewhere near Timberfest.
Check the website of the World Deaf Timberfest out, http://www.wdtxxv.com
Are anyone here planning go to Timerfest next month? I am going....
That's all...
