Anyone know how big the story is locally, if they mentioned my model of car on the news I know someone would tell me and I would go and look. Otherwise I could months without looking in there! :shock:

Although it's entirely possible that there were no gifts to begin with. :hmm: Could be a chance a woman was fabricating a story for the news. Not saying this one was, though, but I'm willing to not rule out fake stories happen in order to gain public attention for donations and/or a cause.

You're right, though. The full story isn't known here, which leads to a lot of speculation. There are some people who, unfortunately, will do anything for attention.

Hey, I know the truth. Ok, it was like this. The old man was up to his gosh darn no good drinking again and kept showing up at the old lady's work place demanding a job. So the work place finally got tired of this pathetic drunken show that the fired the old lady and incidentally the entire office partied the next day.

Well, It so happened that the old lady was looking for a way to get some extra toys for their old son (who wasn't really old at all, but then this is my story not yours). So the old lady asked the old son to make a list of toys that are a bit expensive since there are so many stories of secret santas out there and she has a plan!

The old lady sends her old man out for a beer run just to get him out of the house and just happens to mention a titty show across town. So off the old man on an adventure to find a bar on the other side of town that may or may not even exist. But either way he was going to get really drunk before coming home and it takes a while to get this old man drunk (hard to get drunk when most of the old brain cells are already gone).

The old lady makes her purchases at a local chain store, loads the gifts into her car... Returns them all at another store chain... Returns to the original store and pretends to continue shopping and even buys a few items for her old self.

Upon exiting the stores, she loudly exclaims that she lost 700 dollars worth of toys for her son and would somebody kindly call the police (because she is supposed to be too distraught to do anything now).

Upon the arrival of the police, the old lady tells the gathering crowd about her old son and her kind old man and all of the wonderful toys and gifts that no one will be getting this year. She proudly er... Sadly displays the carefully copied receipt showing all the wonderful things that were lost to some stranger's car. And how when she walked back to her car and realized her misfortune. And would somebody kindly help her replace the wonderful gifts she lost???

And that my good friends is the rest of the story. And no body can proove me wrong because there are NO articles out there that.. Um... Er... :Ohno: :slap: I just argued myself out of my own story!!!
 
I wonder if there is any mall parking lot surveillance camera footage that shows the two cars?

I was thinking what did the person do when they found all the bags in their car.
I would hope they would find the person they belong to. I wonder if you could see what the plates numbers are on the car and find the owner.
