With the Christmas holiday coming up...families will purchase a 'pet' for a Christmas gift for their child(ren). Is it wise to get a 'pet' only during Christmas when I hear many stories of people getting a pet for Christmas and then once Christmas is over, the care, having the respondsibilities slack or go unheeded which may attribute to several pets being discouraged or depressed? Although, there are families that will continue being supportive with the proper care a pet will need, yet, statistically, the numbers have risen when pets are being purchased during the Christmas holiday...how do you view on this?
