Sprint Relay Wireless sucks! because I have to pay every month 9.95 for TTY and emergency except relay is free.

I know I agree with you...Wyndtell as their company is reacting in their own mind.."oh dang oh shoot...sidekick is stealing our business...how can we keep this business strong..so they fight harder and offer wyndpower"...What a stupid thing to offer such as 9.95!!!!"

i've tried it.. it seems like its soooo SLOW!

I had no problem...I had run several test using it...seems no problem with it...

i would rather to install a ip relay instead of sprint relay on my sidekick.. i had few friends who had sprint relay.. they compare both of it.. ip relay is the best..

I use MyIPRelay over AIM or the IP Relay via Telnet connection from my Treo. About the only problem is sustaining a good typing speed. Since I can speak, I'd love it if one of these IPRelays offered VCO.

So get rid of your home phone line if you haven't already -- $10 a month is a lot cheaper than a monthly phone bill, and it's STILL cheaper than buying TTY software for the Treo from fusewireless. Grrr.

Yeah, the relay is free, which is the good part. I'm still waiting for VCO as well.

I've been having massive problems with IP-Relay over AIM no matter where I use it (Treo, AIM on computer, AIM on laptop over wireless). It stems from the lag time being 30 to 45 seconds no matter what I do. Impossible to hold a conversation over. I did the Telnet thing but now the Telnet program doesn't work for some reason, and it was still not up to par with what I expect from a relay service. I'm not one to put up with a subpar product, I'd rather complain that they improve it because they can!

i would say.. both have pro and cons... the pro for sprint relay is that they can accept both toward calls and incoming calls.. nice? the cons.. seems somewhat slow.. because i tested myself.. i called directly to my home.. and saw the answering machine running.. and it takes somewhat about 10 to 20 sec for relay to respond back.

ip-relay is much faster.. however i can't call towards another tty caller.. also i can't recieve incomeing calls..

The lag is a problem, most Treo IM programs (VeriChat, Chatter) go through a proxy first and this adds to the lag.

I use MochaTelnet on the Treo..if I have to choose I prefer Telnet since the CA can see the keystrokes as they happen and I don't get "Still there?" as often.

it really nice to have that i am not pay 9.95 everymonth cuz i don't use it much

>>WHERE'S MY TREO RELAY?!!!!!!!

Just use a treo/PalmOS telnet program and connect to:

Host: wireless.ip-relay.com
Port: 2510
Protocol: telnet

You can even click this link to do a desktop trial of wireless relay: telnet://wireless.ip-relay.com:2510

(Don't worry if you can't see your typing in the Windows telnet, that's a Microsoft issue, but they will see your typing).

I dont use all relay, most time I see VP for friends and relay and less using TTY and relay on TTY and website
