AD is getting old and fast with those tiresome threads that involved CI and Elections. People need to stop posting useless threads, and that's how flame war gets. I mean what's the point in posting them when you can keep it to yourself?

If people werent passionate about anything, then the world would most definatly suck. I say let the floodgates open and allow real uncensored feelings to pour out, flooding your mind with plenty to acknowledge and ponder. At least its real.

Exactly.

There is something called "freedom of speech" and ADers have every right to debate CIs and politics. Besides, it's Election Day, so what else do you expect most of today's threads to be about?

Of course I also do agree and AD'ers do have the right for freedom of speech but aren't you tired of seeing the same thread that are similar to another thread? Thread after thread of the same situation and such? It's becoming into a Politics forum.

then make a thread on...skinning dead rabbits and the benefits of eating peanut butter naked on an iceberg in alaska. Something that contradicts everything a political thread should be. :laugh2:

But *that's* the name of the forum: "Politics and War."

There are times I get tired of seeing the same threads being discussed ad nauseum, but when that happens, I just skip over them and create a new thread instead.

I think that's because this is a historic election, so people have alot to say about it. I know I've had plenty to say! :giggle:

How about you start a controversial but NEW thread?

Ideas:
-Can cousins be together romantically?
-Would you have safe sex with someone who you KNOW has HIV?
-Human Genome Project: Yay or Nay?
-Should we kill fighting dogs or put more effort in training?
-Are we ultimately messing up our gene pool by saving the "runts" in the human race because of compassion?

And so on.

I want to clarify this with you. First of all, It may be getting tiresome but with due respect, this is something that always happens on AD. There are times that a certain forum (such as Political and War News) may be the hottest forum because of the election season. CI Forum can be hot too because it generates a lot of emotional aspects between the deaf/hearing world. Religion is another thing too.

So, what I am saying is, It always comes and go. It is not meant to be around for a long time. In time, it will subside. The bottom line is, it will be ironed out eventually. Things are not always meant to be the same on AllDeaf because there are also a lot of issues that can be applied to every members and how they tread it with their experiences, opinions, so and on.

you don't have to read or post Nathan....maybe take a week off of AD sometimes when it gets mondane, which things can if you do it too much. I agree with Hear Again, just ignore a thread or post if you are indifferent or seen it before.

I see, thanks for those words. But whatever I click New Posts, all of them are about Politicals which I intend to stay away. I guess I will have to get use to it.
