I dunno if you do read my post or not but I did tried the local deafies... honestly, they are full of jokes. rumormongers & backstabbers plus lack of ability to discuss/debate intelligently and poor tastes in other things. I had enough with 'online' women as well due to my latest ex (just need a break from online for a while). Only one choice left for me to make to solve my problem... by date with hearies and the result: I met my lover, Nas (actually, she made a first move.. not me :(). In the past, I met several good local deaf women in different states/cities but not this time or area where I live in.

Many deafies have the same problem with their 'local' deafies as well. I guess I keep the window open for any opportunities included internet & hearies. Just a thought.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with people dating from online, chat etc...It the same thing in real life too, people lie, people cheat the list goes on and on....so there's no difference in any of this but only for the long distance part, but if the person willing to move where that person lives, then that up to them....

I met my boyfriend from a deafchat, and met him 8 months later after I flew to his hometown in Iowa and everything was beautiful, he moved up in Ohio after a month, we have live together for almost 3 years now, we have a beautiful relationship....

Every relationship isn't perfect, we may have our ups and downs, or a few break-ups, no matter where you met your sweetheart at....So every person is different when it comes to seeking a relationship, They can seek anywhere they want... ;)..

I almost forgot Peachylady met her husband online too....and her marriage is strong and they are very close with each others...You could have seen her and her husband's wedding, it was the most beautiful wedding ever... :mrgreen:

Its not that simple,,,,,Being deaf is new to me. Its a new situation for me to deal with. I dont know how to pretend i can hear. I dont read lips that well. Are you deaf miss p? have you had hearing before? If you can hear,,Then you dont know whats it like listening in silence.

Well when I don't wear hearing aid, I can't hear.
When I do wear hearing aid, I can hear.

Why not write a play? Stage play? Because I heard there
was a homeless man who begin to write some play...
And then he became a millionaire... after
he succeed in Theatre Business.

So why don't you do something like that?

I first met my husband in person in 1986 at deaf club. We chatted for half an hour and I liked him, but I was married at that time with small children. I don't believe in affairs during marriage and never had affair, not even once during my 19 years of first marriage. I got divorced in 2000 and met my new husband online thru another friend. We fell in love online and met in person only three weeks later on Valentine's day in 2002. (I know, I know...too fast, but we were very, very madly in love and couldn't wait any longer to see each other! I have never experienced anything like this in my whole life) I didn't realize it was the same man I liked back in 1986 because his hair was no longer thick or dark. His hair had gotten thinner and much greyer and he had gained some weight. After awhile, he asked me if I remembered him at deaf club back in 1986 on new years eve. I was floored and said "That was you????" He smiled and nodded. I told him that I had crush on him but didn't tell him. He said "what? So did I! I wanted to take you with me, but I couldn't." We are much more in love today even more than the day we got married. We appreciate each other much more today after what we both had gone thru from our exes. I will go get some wedding pictures to scan and post in here if Angel could explain to me how to do this. I had problems with sizing limit to put picture in here and am not sure how to download. That's why I haven't been posting pictures in AD in a long time.

By the way, I have watched Angel and RR courtship from online from the very beginning and I can tell you this, their romance life story is awesome! They both kept telling me how much they love each other very, very much. Everyone has their ups and downs, including me and my husband, but how else would we know each other better without any struggles, right? There is NO perfect relationship on earth. My husband and I had some quarrels, but we have learned how to resolve it quickly and we always, always hug each other and say I love you so much.

Nice southwestern home, and two cars you posted for Angel and RR, RavenSteve! Will those be your wedding gifts for them if they decide to get married? I know they do deserve them and can use them! :thumb: I can bring a huge flowering cactus plant for their southwestern home for their wedding! It would match perfectly!
 
Im Not a writer. I cannot write songs or even a movie script. I cannot write many jokes. If yall remember johnny carson he was one of the few comedians who wrote his own jokes. And he wrote jokes to david letterman when he retired. I cant be a writer its something im not good at.
