yep.... I drag it as long as I can and sometimes run on fume to get to NJ because the price difference among states is outrageous... NY is about $3.20ish. CT is about $3.10ish. and NJ is $2.75ish.In CT, we have to be careful which stations charge more for gas depending on whether you charge it or pay cash. (In SC, it's all the same price.)
ah... I was gonna ask why. But you can check fluids, clean windshields, etc. while the gas attendant fills up the gas. I do it all the time.We prefer to do it ourselves, and when we're traveling Hubby also likes to check the Jeep's fluids, clean the windshields, etc.
Honestly, we bypass NJ for the tolls, too.

you can simply program your GPS to create non-toll routes but... I'd do what you do. the condition of non-toll routes here are terrible....
