Who is right, Pelosi or Panetta?

Go back and read the posts in succession, Jiro. It is very clear what I am saying, and what I intended. The only reason you don't see it is because you don't want to see it. No one else appeared to have any difficulty understanding it.

It's pretty apparent that you did not want to admit your errors thus resorting to obfuscating & flooding this thread to soften the blow on Pelosi (and yours). I simply pointed out contradictions in your posts. I simply showed the contradiction in Pelosi's statements. I simply questioned the integrity of this investigation. My take on this issue? Pelosi should resign and Obama should focus on our future, not turn over every rocks.

Moving on to let others have their inputs in this thread.......

wrong. OP asked to us all - If Panetta is right, should Pelosi apologize, resign, or both?

I say RESIGN - not ENTIRELY because of her accusation. I'm not satisfied with her. She did not deliver and promised what she preached in her opening speech as the first female Speaker of House.

If one is not being blamed, one does not need to do any of the above.

What errors? You constantly refer to errors, but never do you define such. Additionally, you constantly refer to the obfuscating and flooding of others, when it is you that is guilty of such. Contradictions? When you recognize your own, perhaps you will be better able to classify those of others.

Here's a contradiction for you: first you question the integrity of the investigation, and then encourage Obama to continue with the investigation.

As do I. Many may be surprised to find I have some fairly conservative views on the death penalty. However, I also think think the death sentence should be meted only in rare cases where people died unusally cruel deaths or some other factors pertaining to the murderer and the victim. Jeffery Dahmer comes to mind. I think he should have gotten the death penalty.

I feel the same way you do deafskeptic.

The same can be said for a lot of Rebuplicans (bastards/bitches) but that doesn't make them guilty of anything. Nor does it make Pelosi guilty of anything as there doesn't seem to be good evidence pointing to Pelosi. I'll revise my opinion if evidence should come up.

:gpost:

same here. that's why i heavily criticize those on left and right. there are so few who are in the middle...... like Powell and JFK.

You're right Jiro. That's why I feel so alone when it comes to politics although I have to say that if I HAD to pick which party I lean more towards, it would be the Democrats. (Not that anyone here on AD is surprised. :giggle:)

When one is unable to come up with a valid argument, start calling names.

There's 3 word for you, FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Anyone has rights to criticize Pelosi or other politicians, regardless if you don't agree with their opinion.

Name calling may be a way of exercising one's freedom of speech, but it isn't convincing me or anyone else here of the fact that Pelosi is guilty or needs to resign.

By the way, I never said I disagreed with Texas' post. I simply said that instead of coming up with a valid argument, he resorted to name calling.

I find it ironic how you and Jiro think I like Pelosi just because I think she is being treated unfairly. In my book, unfair treatment is unfair treatment regardless of who I like or don't like.

Yep and they better back up their opinions with evidence, otherwise others will dismiss what they say. No one has been able to come up with any facts supporting the accusations vs Pelosi. If they were to do so, I'll listen up.

I mean no disrespect, but if everyone here has a right to exercise their freedom of speech, so do I without being called an extreme leftist or a liberal.

Not so fast my friend, i got a quote for ya:

"People demand freedom of speech to make up for the freedom of thought which they avoid."
