anyway, Halo 2 is definetly the number one game that every Xbox owners shouldn't go without. A game full of non stop explosion of action, stunts, and suspense.
I actually agree with steel's saying. In my opinion, the change is for the better in many ways. Halo 1 ruled. Halo 2 totally owns. It is an amazing game. there is so much depth to the strategy and weapontry. the game, learn the weapons, their strengths and weaknesses, explore them. It's awesome!

though the story is great, but it was kind of confusing...and I do have a few questions to correct myself.
For me, Nah.. I noticed that the [deformed] infected Flood enemies went against aliens and against humans. but it sometime confusing me, the others like look aliens, others are eneimes against aliens as exactly black groups against black groups alike blood groups against blue groups. anyway! I lothe the infected enemies because they would run and surround you upon their deep target. like impossbile defence yourself against them, if you put yourself in wrong place. how it end up where you are in trap of them. Ummm...

Steel said:
most definetly a GREAT storyline too. though I was kind of surprised that I dont really play as Master Cheif throughout the entire game...you could play as the Elite (forgot his name) as well...though the story is great...
YUP! As far as storyline and gameplay "quality" thats up to your personal taste. I went through both sides (the Alien Elite and Master Chief) all the way to Keye's Daughter taking the key from the firing mechanism and the ring firing and Master chief going through the portal to earth in the ALIEN ship, it has to be continued. Unfortuantely, this game was to short.

The end scene, is where the commander asks the master chief "what you doing out there, and he says finishing of this mission", then the credits start to roll. A Sequel was so obvious as its ending was too short and didnt give any answers to anything.

Steel said:
Now I can't wait for HALO 3 ! :D which may only be released on NeXtbox... :dunno:
Oh well, another year or two for Halo 3. My sensational target theory is, that Elite and Master chief will be unite as teamwork together against enemies [i.e the Infected flood of deformed humans] in Halo 3 as brute force [tex and the alien brutus] which might be you played this before or not. Yes i heard that Next xbox will relase in 2005 sooner!

Bottom line be honestly say, Halo 2 was great. It goes on to say how the game was improved upon. Halo2 is even better than zero! ;)

If you ask me, I dont think those kind of organzations know about games as much as we do... of course they do contain violence...but...WHAT kind of violence? I dont think they have the describtion to show it but I guess they are just trying to outlaw a game just because it's rated "M"...

*pppfft* whiners...at least be glad there are ratings for a game like there are ratings for movies and cds...stop blaming the videogame companies for making those games already!

WOW!, Halo 2 Sells $125 Million USD In First 24 Hours...

"Halo 2" broke entertainment retail records in its first 24 hours on store shelves. Microsoft Game Studios today announced that the highly-anticipated game sold through 2.4 million units in the U.S. and Canada, driving cash register receipts to the $125 million (U.S.) mark.

"EB Games had a record-breaking day as gamers across the country lined up for hours to be one of the first to get their hands on 'Halo 2' on November 9," said Jeff Griffiths, president and CEO of EB Games. "The 'Halo 2' frenzy, anticipation and excitement felt throughout the country prove that 'Halo 2' has become more than a game -- it's a pop cultural phenomenon."

"Halo 2 has blown the roof off of any other sales day in the history of GameStop," said Dan Dematteo, president and chief operating officer at GameStop. "In just one day, we sold more than half a million copies of Halo 2 -- more than any other game in history in its first day of release. Halo 2 has become more than a pop culture phenomena -- it's become a pop culture frenzy."

Not only has "Halo 2" exceeded video game sales records, but entertainment records as well. "Halo 2" has generated more money on day one than any of the biggest movies in box office history including "Spider-Man 2" (Sony), "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" (WB) and "The Matrix Reloaded" (WB).* In addition, "Halo 2" surpassed this past weekend's box office favorite, "The Incredibles," which grossed $70.5 million (U.S.) in three days compared to the $125 million pulled through by "Halo 2" in one day.

"The first 24 hours of Halo 2 sales have taken our breath away," said Peter Moore, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Publishing, Xbox. "Across North America, 2.4 million copies of the game were sold through, representing $125 million in total cash register receipts for retailers. It's no longer just a huge game for us but has become a seminal milestone for the entire industry."

"Halo 2" will expand on everything that made the original game great, plus add a wealth of technological and gameplay advances. Significantly improved graphics, enhanced artificial intelligence (AI), an advanced real-time lighting engine and destructible interactive environments are just a small part of "Halo 2's" evolution of design and technology. Every improvement in "Halo 2" is designed to take gameplay to a new level -- and in the end, to tell a more compelling story.

Utilizing Xbox Live to redefine online play, "Halo 2" delivers superior online multiplayer capabilities. Whether playing with a clan on a new multiplayer map, boarding a friend's Warthog, dogfighting in Banshees or checking player stats, "Halo 2" will bring the social experience to a higher level via Xbox Live. Bungie was founded in 1991 with two goals: to develop games that combine brilliant technology, beautiful art, intelligent stories and deep gameplay, and then sell enough of those games to achieve the real goal of total world domination. Over the past 10 years it produced games like the "Marathon Trilogy" and the first two "Myth" games, hailed as classics by critics and gamers around the world. "Halo: Combat Evolved" and "Halo 2" have achieved phenomenal success on the Microsoft Xbox video game system. More information on Bungie can be found at http://www.bungie.net/.

I haven't had much time to play it on Legendary. I already beat it on Normal with a friend of mine. We then tried playing it on Legendary... we can't get past the damn hangar that's being invaded by the aliens! Argh!

Oh you had done with halo2 for less 8 hours? I am sure that you use guide book as cheat.. i aint gonna judge on you.. So Heroic and Legenary is tough play, there is no way for me to keep the Master Chief 's suvivior to playing. because if once Master Chief jump in wrong surround of enemies in wrong place. they kill you suddenly! I did try before. but impossbile to beat them.

Actually i did not use a guide, and i would have told you if i was... And yes i counted the hours, it was less tha 8 hours, on NORMAL - It is easy... really easy. I dont really care if you dont believe me. If you want proof that i am skilled, Then contact me at "HypobolicMoose" (Thats my Xbox tag) and do a match making with me. :)

I'm sure you're a good player. I don't play Halo very often. I've got a lot of games and game systems, but I don't play them very often since I'm in college and don't have time for games. :( If I wasn't in college, I'd have more time for these games... then I would kick your ass. ;)

:laugh2: Yup i wish you had more time! lol

The Halo 2 is boring too because I can't beat the Halo 2 for a long time. The Halo 2 will make you so boring from the missions. If everyone loves old Halo, then I will love to play Halo 1 than Halo 2.

<---- Going to take up the Halo 2 challenge tonight..... I'm now back in the video game business after picking up a xbox at of all places...a pawn shop lol! (but it took me about 8 or so pawn shops and video game stores to find a xbox with the Samsung DVD drive until a pawn shop clerk sent me to a friend of his who works at a rival pawn shop and I got my xbox there...lol)

Anyways I've played a bit of Halo 2 on the demo booths at the EB Games and I have to say Im more had a open jaw all the way with Halo 2 than Halo 1. I anticipate beating the game on normal in about 12 or so hours as my skills with FPS's are getting a bit rusty since my forced hiatus from the xbox.

For now I'm renting a copy of Halo 2 until I can get my hands on a Collector's edition (the metal box).

Yup, but the multiplayer online is much harder obviously with skilled players lol

and some people go really crazy with their guns. Geez.

My Xbox gamertag is M7 Trader... feel free to add me. I'll admit, I'm not that great at playing Halo 2 online, but that's because I don't spend 20 hours a day like some of these freaks online. No offense. :)

I just found out that the Legendary difficulty is different in the first and second game. In the first game, you can die while your cooperative player still plays. In the second game, if you die... both of you start over.

Halo 2 on campaign mode.... After a few stages of the game (right now I'm on the Arbiter stage), I have to agree with the majority that thinks H2 is easier than H1. I think the additional allies (Marines/Orbital Drop Shock-Troopers and the Arbiter's yellow-band allies), the fact that the shields regenerate themselves faster, along with the elimination of 1st aid kits and the life-o-meter on the upper left corner of Halo1's HUD all factored into making the Campaign mode easier.

However I would love to play xbox live, but where I live does not have broadband that I would not be able to join in H2 multiplayer on xbox live unlike my old Quake 2 multiplayer online days. so I cannot say whether playing MP Halo 2 is harder than Campaign, but its the human factor in all multiplayer game that makes it hard to beat a MP game.

However I have to say Halo 2 is way much more fun than I did with Halo 1. Old Halo 1 habits die hard like my penanchant for using grenades to make the job easier. Even though I can dual-wield some of the weapons, I find it much easier to just keep one gun and have a free hand for grenades.

Enough blathering for me.....back to the game!

sablescort, you are right about best xbox come with the super-dvd rom which is Samsung that the right you picked. Becuase I found out that my dvd rom was defect and can't replacment at all. Plus the thompson DvD rom is short-lifetime. if you play core with the tompson dvd xbox eveyday.. it would be exhaust fast like 2 or 3 years less...

Like I did showed you the images of picture in XBOX is super-compture post somewhere in thread. I told my firiend who know more about xbox etc.. He told me that Samsung dvd is best, read all games, and long years than less.. get it?

the Thompson is more cheaper and more genertic products. it will short-lifetime which will be easy defeat itself by the less three years or so..

the Phillp dvd rom sometime diffcult read some games, some not work but it is still good dvd rom.

the Samsung dvd rom is super-best dvd rom than above. read and load fast, its more capable to read all xbox games.. Plus it is more long-term!!
