Who has an electronic home security system?

ANAAAAAAAAAAAAAARCHY!

All of my anarchist friends advocate stocking up on guns... ammunitions... bulk food... You know... survivalist mentality. Funny thing... they are EXCITED about for the "day that is coming." I am like... "what the heck? You want to see a civil war in Canada?"

We are also "armed" but that does no good if we aren't home. Most of the break-ins around here happen when no one is home. People can watch the houses and know when homeowners leave for work.

It is becoming harder to get all kinds of ammo at any given time. Sometimes the suppliers are out of a particular kind of ammo, and all ammo is zooming up in price. Whenever we can get a good "deal" on some ammo, we try to take advantage of it before it becomes unavailable or too expensive.

It's crazy when I have like 1,000 bullets for my 30-06. :roll:

I couldn't even shoot 100 in an entire day if I tried without messing up the gun.

But yeah. That is true.

I barely have 1,000 left or even much less but I can't remember exactly. I've done 2 IDPA competitions so far and each competition is about 200-300 bullets... in 3 hrs. :(

Yeah... but yours are hand-held firearms, right? 30-06, in the civilian world, are for rifles, right?

yea 9mm. and yes 30-06 is a rifle. a good deer hunting rifle.

I don't think you want to shoot 1,000 rounds with a handgun but point is - lot of people with handguns don't even shoot that much. Same for rifle and shotgun.

yeah, I did know that she meant cutting off the security power from the wiring outside of the house (I watched too many movies as well hehe).

But some security system make you pay monthly to keep in track of your house and if a alarm goes off, it notify them to report to the police. I was thinking even if it was wireless, they still can cut off your internet wiring from the outside. That's why I asked her wireless as a cellphone or computer router. Because I feel that if you are paying monthly, you really can't go wrong as long as the system is notified that the wiring (rather it is security system wiring, internet wiring, telephone wiring, etc.) have be shut down or cut off.

now, as far as battery operated security system without connecting to the phoneline or anything like that. I think the only job they can do is produce loud sounds.
