Ok - whew.

I have emailed the hotels that are being considered for use the specifics of what I want to get into the contract for the AD Caucus...

And after talking with Alex -

This will be open to the public UNTIL Saturday night - where it will be closed to AD members only.

This is the tentative schedule:

All day Friday - Registration/Social

Friday night - Administrator's Reception

All day Saturday - Meeting Room Open to Public for Socializing and Booths

Saturday morning - AD Brunch/Discussion with Alex and Mods

Saturday afternoon - Trip to City - (will have another poll following this)

Saturday Evening - AD Caucus Banquet (Buffet Style) and Awards (will have another poll following this) - Closed for AD members only.

Sunday - Goodbye - Alex, Mods and I will be at breakfast saying good bye to all of you *sob*


Does this sound feasible to you?

I'd vote, but I'm probably not going to go. Not the right time of the year for me.

We would allow husbands/wives in at the banquet, so we would allow your folks in too...they would have to pay the full price too.

Hey dude, ya know....

...vote for the all-around best surfer....

...hey! Whatya think I meant? Psstt...ya know, surfing the 'net, not the waves dude! ;) :lol:

...but all in all, awards will be set up according to categories members are presently voting on....heck, we could squeeze in an award for "Best hurricane surfer", something along those lines or should I say, along those waves! :D

With the fact that this Forum is 'open' not only to the Deaf/Hoh, hearies are much welcomed to participate within the Forum, bearing that in mind, yes, hearies are very much welcome to join along in the AD causus as long as they are 'members' of AD-- ;)

sounds great, i would like to come in, if ok last min? cuz I dont know when will we find the house and move in if July I will must be busy but if june or aug would be great I get some time to go to meet u guys :crossedfingers:
 
Well - it looks like the AD Caucus WILL take place - I have received one proposal from a hotel and am now waiting for a 2nd proposal from the other hotel being considered.

It's been a slow, bumpy and often twisted road, but we are getting there...smiles!
