When is it time to quit your job?

At what point do you say, "I'm through with this?"

Id say when you worked hard tried to get a promotion but you see your boss offering that promotion to someone else or probley a minority,OR

When you're the only person in the office not invited to a party at a coworkers house,OR

When you realize EVERYONE around you is a bumbling idiot, including your boss.OR
Immediately upon winning the lottery!


Every day I pray for 6 good numbers!!
 
I quit my last job when the company I worked for was bought by black cocaine dealers from Oakland who were trying to use the company as a front for their criminal activities. I blew the whistle on them and put an end to that shit REAL fast.

When the job starts to suck. I hate boring jobs....I am stuck in my head when I am working because since I am deaf, I cannot talk to other co workers or listen to the radio while I am assembling stuff...(I used to work in Assembly and prep). I am stuck with my own thoughts. I can't stand being stuck in my head...day in and day out and then I start to go crazy.

By then, I'm usually laid off anyway.

That's why I am going to school. I want a job where my brain usage is required...where thinking is required...my brain needs to be engaged while I am working to keep me from getting bored out of my mind and going crazy. I need to be constantly focused on something.
 
When I lose passion for that job or feel that I have met every challenge there as possible so that is when I move on to bigger pastures :)

Ya want my job? My job certainly keeps my brain OVERFRIED :whistle: That is why sometimes I think I have early Alzheimers - too much to think at work that I forget alot!!!!
 
when the job is no longer fun it is time to go. I worked at a video store for 5 years and I was getting grumpy so I left. Now I have been at my other job for over a year and I still like it.
 
I used to work for public school as ParaProfessional for 4 years here...At the very beginning of school in September, I just lost in ambition working there for several reasons...

I was "burned out" for working there...so I quit my job and needed a break from working for 2 years now...Now, Im ready to go back to work! ;)

I'm not going to quit my job just because I don't like it, It pays my bills. I'm only there for two reasons to do my job and get paid. ;)

What happens when you get a new boss and he chews you out and is an total asshole?

She works with her Dad. :D Get it!!!

My last job before the one I had now was so suck and not getting raise. So they hired someone else to take my place before they let me go. Boy I as glad to go. Stupid Boss!!!! I hate him.

The job that I have now it good for me cuz I do get raise and do get time off at the same time with my son who have vacation from school. So that help alot.

We have employee rights here in Germany. None of employers can against their employees except break work agreement contract/rules.

I work at same place for over 20 years now.

I would not give my job up because of that boss, promotion, etc. but go to Work Council...

I would not give my job up either I win at lottery or not... I stick my job no matter what until I'm pension or whatever....
