Remember the most Importaint! event of the 20th century?
Ill say the apollo space program. The apollo space flights took men to the moon which opens the door for man to visit other planets. Without the apollo program you wouldnt be talking about the possibilty sending men to mars.

hmmm in 20th century, I would have to go when men touched the moon in 1960's. There is too many other historic events, too.

Oh, my bad. I thought recently.

Of course, me being born. Haha.

Okay, okay... I'm glad that the segretion of white and black people are dissolving, thanks to civil rights leader, MLK, and some devoted people like Rosa Parks and Malcolm X. If not for them, I'd not able to make friends outside my skin color. Sorry if I sound being too racist, but I'm really not.

The 11th of September tragic event would leave a scar in all of us. Among others are the war in Iraq where devoted Americans got killed, that is not what I wanted to see.
Those were important events, but they didn't happen during the 20th century.

World War II

So many technologies that we take for granted were greatly developed as a result of the war.

Radar, computers (for encryption\decryption of codes), jets, rockets, and so on.

JFK won the election in 1960. Defeated Richard Nixon. Thanks to TV Debate.

Apollo program, Bill Gates invented a computer, and yeah! the Automotive, airfare, and space program is the most important :D

Let's see...

The Great Depression....economics

Presidents - Kennedy's assisination (sp?) Nixon went bye bye. Regan running in 80s.

Transformation of cars...airplanes....boats...

TOO many to list....

I disagree,,Cause JFK had a controversal vice president LBJ. Some say he killed JFK cause he was theating a lot of senators before he became president. He threaten them if he didnt get his way he was gonna have some of them killed. LBJ hated JFK when he was a senator then when JFK said wanna be my running mate he said OK and thats bull.Think about it the only reason he accepted to be vice president so he could be president. Remember the civil rights act was in progress? Again,,He threaten several senators to vote for this bill or he was gonna sic the FBI on them. He made a statement to the press""" I am here to to finish what abraham lincoln started.""" doesnt tell you something? Why didnt the warren commision interrogated LBJ? Make him speak the truth! Maybe we would have known why JFK was assassinated.l

 LBJ was not only one that connection to JFK's murder case.

By the way, if no TV debate in 1960, Underdog JFK will lose to Nixon for sure.

Bill Gates invented computers? Ah, I think you meant Microsoft Software, that's what gotten him to be a billionaire.

Ah, Sally Ride becoming the first woman astronaut in 1983 -- same year I first existed :D

20th Century is from 1900 to 1999.

We are in the 21st Century which is from 2000 to 2099.

Actually the 21st century began Jan. 1, 2001.

The Y2K scare.... what a pathetic attempt at milking money out of the gullible fools.

Luckily, I wasn't one of them.
