What should I put on my CV? That I am hearing impaired/deaf, I really don't have a clue what else. Any suggestions? I know they are not allowed to say that they are not giving me a job because I'm deaf due to DDA
It is their business since I will be working with whoever employs me also, since I'm considering doing admin/office work there will have to be some adaptations
It is very important to be more 'upfront' into your deafness then if not, you're wasting their time.
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with your discussion. For I, as I have stated my hearing impairment in the resume with the effective communication so they are aware what would do if I was hired, but for nothing and no 'awareness' - you're in for a long haul, even in the end, they will just scrable the paper into a small ball and chuck it in the bin, do you want that? being confident and upfront with the panel, will help. But people have their opinions on these resumes and interviews.Disagree. Last year I took a career studies course and for the final project, we had to write a resume. If I had put that I was hard of hearing on my resume I would have failed. It is all political correctness, I know, but I really don't think it should matter.
