What should I put on my CV? That I am hearing impaired/deaf, I really don't have a clue what else. Any suggestions? I know they are not allowed to say that they are not giving me a job because I'm deaf due to DDA

Don't put that you are HOH/Deaf because it is really none of their business. It will not effect your job performance being deaf. Besides, maybe they don't understand deafness and will decide not to give you a call because it is on your resume.

Do you have any volunteer experience? I put my volunteer experience on mine since I don't have any work experience.

You should also list your skills... both your academic skills and your personal skills (responsible, productive, etc.)

Also list any academic achievements or awards.

Computer exp. is something you can also put on your resume.

It is their business since I will be working with whoever employs me also, since I'm considering doing admin/office work there will have to be some adaptations

It is very important to be more 'upfront' into your deafness then if not, you're wasting their time.

Of course, but you could explain in a job interview that accomodations are often quite simple and not costly.

Disagree. Last year I took a career studies course and for the final project, we had to write a resume. If I had put that I was hard of hearing on my resume I would have failed. It is all political correctness, I know, but I really don't think it should matter.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with your discussion. For I, as I have stated my hearing impairment in the resume with the effective communication so they are aware what would do if I was hired, but for nothing and no 'awareness' - you're in for a long haul, even in the end, they will just scrable the paper into a small ball and chuck it in the bin, do you want that? being confident and upfront with the panel, will help. But people have their opinions on these resumes and interviews.

I of course KNOW to put my deafness on paper. Since I may have a bit of trouble communicating.
