What occupations can benefit from the cold weather?

Those guys who cut wood are called wood splitters, I believe. :dunno: They split wood to make firewood.

And companies that make hot chocolate I would raid for sure.... especially those who have whipped cream nearby. (Joking again).

Did you mean you just have to live 'without ' the cabinets ?
No. We just have to live with the cabinets in their messed up condition. TCS needs the storage for his tools, equipment, parts, and various containers.

Hubby already bought and installed the sheet rock. Just some more prepping and then painting when the weather is warmer. We would have preferred to replace the cabinets but we'll just have to live with them. The solid oak parts aren't too bad he had to rip off the fiberboard backings, and might replace the warped shelves. We're hoping that the electric tool chargers, radio, work light, and clock will be OK.

Flip the shelves over, Ive done that a few times

OK I got you now , I though you getting rid of them. Maybe you can find some free one line. People do remodel their homes and give some things away .

That's how we got these in the first place. When TCS remodeled our neighbor's kitchen she gave him the old cabinets. He painted them a new color and put new hardware on them. He was very proud of the makeover.

You have just motivated me to try something. I like that.

Electricians or people who work for the power companies because the power tend to go out due to falling limbs.

Plumbers. I just paid one Saturday $455 for repairing a burst water pipe in our garage. :(

OUCH, that was expensive so you could try to get home warranty to cover on repairs.

We don't have a home warranty anymore. We've lived in this house since 1990.

Update from Reba's posts:

Finished repairing walls and ceiling. Still needs a second coat of joint compound when the weather warms and then paint. I think I will buy plywood for the interior shelves. They can be inserted through the back of them. I just won't have a back on them. The drywall will be the back. It cost me about $30 for the 3 4X8 sheets. I already had drywall screws, paint, joint tape.

My parent's humidifier's water pipe got blew at attic. Water made its way down to the 2nd floor, through the first floor and into the basement

When I was having work done on my house in California I wanted an old fashion bathtub with the claw feet . The contractors where doing work on another house that had gotten rid an old fashion bathtub and I got it for free. I love free stuff.
