It's the first action he's taken, even before being sworn in. It's an action, not a statement.
I was surprised how seriously everyone took my post. Good grief!

I'm on side with Reba about authority, not just for president but congresses are more authority, however president could say whatever they want to congresses.
And it is not the first action he has taken in preparation of his innaguration to President.
hmmm ouch.... a rather rough start in the morning.... damn Monday grumpiness![]()
yes, but the president has the power of veto.
The digital TV thing has nothing to do with inauguration preparations. The inauguration is ceremony, not executive action. That doesn't make it his first priority. This is tied to his economic stimulus package. And it is not the first action he has taken in preparation of his innaguration to President.
Obama is not supposed to take political actions before being sworn in. He doesn't hold any office right now.that's right. obama has done a variety of things since being elected. i would suggest that reba read more about obama and his recent political actions before making assumptions that are untrue.
no one is grumpy here. in fact, i'm feeling great today. i just enjoy having a good debate.

So do I.![]()
Nor did I say it did. He is preparing to take over the office, which he does not officially do until he has been innagurated.
