hmmm ouch.... a rather rough start in the morning.... damn Monday grumpiness :mad2:

It's the first action he's taken, even before being sworn in. It's an action, not a statement.

I was surprised how seriously everyone took my post. Good grief!

That doesn't make it his first priority. This is tied to his economic stimulus package. And it is not the first action he has taken in preparation of his innaguration to President.

Ok, I would like to suggest about delay the analog shutoff to next 6 month to 1 year.

I'm on side with Reba about authority, not just for president but congresses are more authority, however president could say whatever they want to congresses.

and beside.... why not? Cable/Telecommunication Industry was given TONS OF billions of dollar to modernize its infrastructure for decade and all they did is give us mediocre upgrade and delays. It's time to show them who's the boss.

The Buck Stops Here! :mad2:

yes, but the president has the power of veto.

that's right. obama has done a variety of things since being elected. i would suggest that reba read more about obama and his recent political actions before making assumptions that are untrue.

The digital TV thing has nothing to do with inauguration preparations. The inauguration is ceremony, not executive action.

Obama is not supposed to take political actions before being sworn in. He doesn't hold any office right now.

If he just put together his Cabinet appointments and administrative organization, that's fine.

Participating in inauguration ceremonies planning is OK because that's just ceremonial stuff. Actually, most of the planning is done by other people.

Nor did I say it did. He is preparing to take over the office, which he does not officially do until he has been innagurated.

Nor does the "digital t.v. thing" have anything to do with his first priorty for this country. At least not as you have attempted to portray it.

Obama has made it very clear that there cannot be two presidents at once, which is why I'm not surprised that some forms of media have harped upon him for being silent on the issues in Israel.

exactly,

obama is also currently reading over the budget so he can determine what changes need to be made, among other things.
