at least obama is taking steps to do something before he takes office on january 20th. i don't remember george w. bush doing that after he was elected in 2000 and 2004.

besides, the economy is in such poor shape right now that there isn't any realistic way obama can quickly resolve it. improving the economy will take at least 2 years, if not more.

as for the war in iraq, obama plans to start withdrawing troops in june which doesn't leave anything else for him to do regarding that issue until then.

Yup, I saw that but I disagree with Obama's idea about DTV but rather to ask congresses to increase of funds on coupons.

Analog need be shutoff because of wireless carriers would able to bid on 700 MHz spectrum for better bandwidth in near future.

It's the first action he's taken, even before being sworn in. It's an action, not a statement.

The incoming President isn't supposed to do anything before he's sworn in. Right now, Obama is neither a Senator nor a President, so he doesn't have any authority to do anything.

you don't know why obama does things yet you can make a sarcastic comment about obama's first priority being to expand the digital tv deadline.

if this had been mccain/palin's first priority (which we don't even know for certain if it's obama's first priority), i bet you'd see no reason to criticize.

I explained that Presidents elect aren't supposed to do anything before they're sworn in because they don't have any official authority. The USA has only one President at a time. That's why Presidents elect aren't supposed to jump the gun, and previous Presidents aren't supposed to publicly second guess current Presidents. That's part of presidential mutual courtesy and respect.
