Just now?
Where have you been?![]()
In bed. My energy sucks lately. I'm only on here for a little bit, but now I'm about to go back and lay down cause I'm in pain right now.

How do you let them pass you? Do you make it obvious that you're letting them pass you or do you look for something to give you a reason to stop and let them pass you?it's ironic you should mention the feeling of someone walking behind you because that also happens to be one of my fears. i can't *stand* the sound of someone's footsteps behind me or walking down a stairwell. whenever i hear someone behind me (or walking down the same stairwell i am), i always have to stop and let them pass before i can continue on my way. i get *very* anxious in this kind of situation -- especially since my life was threatened once.

Are you referring to movies where they go through at least one lifetime in one movie?Movies that go through time or several generations. Just the idea of time passing creeps me out. Movies that come to mind are Bicentennial Man and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I had a panic attack during both of these movies.
We call deaf people and hearing people... deafies and hearies. Could that be applied to blind and non-blind people? Seeies and Blindies?by the way jiro, a polite request. please refer to nika, typeingtornado and i as blind people -- not "blinds." i am not something that covers a window. <giggle>

You never know... you probably did and didn't know it.i've been totally blind for 38 years and have yet to step in any dog doo.

I have a friend who has a fear of dolls that have human-like faces. When my ex-girlfriend and I were watching Bride of Chucky, my friend walked in the room and saw what we were watching... then ran out screaming.I'm surprised no one said clowns yet!
Didn't anyone see Stephen King's IT? Saw it when I was 9. I'll NEVER forget. Coincidently, Hurricane Andrew came to Miami a few days after seeing IT. I spent a lot of time awake at night because its too hot to sleep and it's too dark to do anything else (no electricity/AC for weeks), so imagine being terrified of a clown that likes to kill kids during this time!

Not trying to be rude, just figuring out if there was an appropriate slang word that can be used online.

I do that sometimes. If I'm walking and I think there's someone walking behind me, I'll look around for something to stop and look at. For instance, I'll be at a mall. While walking, I think there's someone who I thought looked at me weirdly like he/she knew me or something. So, I walk along like nothing's wrong... then see a game store. So, I stop and go into the game store to check out their demo. (Their demos are facing outside through the window. That way, I can watch the person walk past me.![]()
Even dried up old dog doo?believe me vampy, i haven't. i can smell it from a mile away.
besides, if i ever stepped in dog doo, i would have been able to tell by the way the ground feels underneath my feet as well as the odor on my shoes.

i wish zoe would stay close to the driveway she has to walk forever smelling everything from the ground and air to the trees and trash cans. i think she does it to annoy me since she constantly looks back to make sure im following her everywhere and if i dont she just pulls ME with the leash. then once shes done she takes off at a trot to come back in and gets annoyed if im not fast enough! speaking of which i have to go freeze to death and take her out one more time tonight.
you might want to try shortening zoe's leash on your hand so that she doesn't have as much freedom of movement.
you could also look into getting zoe a head collar which will not hurt her, but will restrict her ability to pull.

well, some blind people call themselves "blindies" or "blinks."
we also call sighted people "sighties."

oh cool. would you be offended if I use those terms? I like to use shortcut words.
I remember i shat in my pants first time I saw chucky movie. The first couple movies of Chucky was good horror movie but lately.... it felt cheapened. I ain't so scared anymore.![]()
