What car color says about you??

I think that is true. My husband said that too, but I only liked it more because of the color.

If you were willing to wait you could probably have ordered one equipped like the one you got in the color you wanted instead.

Another possibility would have been to have the dealer call around to see if another dealer had one on your preferred color equipped the way you wanted. Anyway way back when my dad was selling new cars the dealers in the general area often traded stock because of who had the color a customer wanted on hand. I still see signs posted on dealers lots offering this.

That is exactly what my Grandma did back in 1994 when she got a brand new white 1994 Grand Marquis. She wanted white with cloth interior. I don't think there was a white one with cloth interior on the lot so she had one ordered.

Our new Cube is in a color called Sapphire Black, which is basically black with blue glitter in it. It's really cool, but our decision was influenced by the Cubes on the lot being white, dark red, and the one we bought.

I was really taken by the dark red, but it cost $1000 more than the one we bought, and since we could both think of lots of things to do with that extra $1000, we took the black.

now, you got me thinking, id order a Blue Ferrari, $1,000 cheaper

It's kind of off topic, but we were buying a new car that was last year's model. So basically, we were limited to stock on hand.

Believe me, we spent quite a time negotiating, and couldn't have gotten a better price on a car that came with lots of extras.

I could have had the other color, but made the decision to save money.

Plus we were quite happy with the dealer who did everything over the internet. We never had to speak to them at all, until we went in to sign the papers and get the car. They even gave us our trade in over the internet. And when we got there, they gave us more than they initially offered.

Since I bought my last two Jeeps used I didn't have a lot of choice in color. However, being in the Southeast, I didn't want any dark colors, so other than that restriction I was flexible. My previous Cherokee was a tan shade, and my current one is gray. Nothing exciting but they are good colors for low maintenance.

If you can't make up your mind about your next car color, consider this:

You don't have the Blue Moon Naidas, do you? The car would be a great match for them if you did. Maybe your blue Naidas bring out the blue glitter? :hmm: :)
