VP problem HELPPPPPP!!!!

LOL - Incompitence is bliss - Glad you got it working though.

The funny thing is that the reason why I was getting my DI-624 replaced with a SR-200 was because the 624 would not allow the BRAND NEW VP-200 to work even though the VP-100 was just fine. I'm sure some of the installers are truly incompetent, but the SVRS installer working on my setup was clearly quite competent though. He tried every trick in the book and I'm relatively familiar with network settings, so I could recognize that he was pulling all the stops to make the SR-200 work...but no dice. He was completely flummoxed, as was I...we both concluded after 1.5 hours of trying every configuration and testing, that it was probably my Dlink modem (DCM-202) not liking the SR-200 for some reason.

I ended up relying on an old DI-614 router I had in my basement until I replaced it with a new Dlink 2305 G router last weekend..works just fine now, whew!

Har har, really the Videophone itself is not the problem when it comes to black screen, it is either router or modem causing that. So, throw out either router or modem!

*wink* yupp, but I have been same problem with VP, but now I know, when it comes to black screen. where problem? Must have problem with Modem or IP address or IP Number to accept or correct setting.

When it does to mine black screen and I just restore to factory default setting in router and restart it. Then set up DMZ to 125 and click apply. Then call direct to VRS interprter and bingo it's back to normal. Easy

If using a wireless router you would also need to re-setup the security settings if you do that.
