I am 39 weeks pregnant right now.. well I went to the dr. office for an appointment yesterday..the dr. said that I am not dilatd at all but the baby's doing fine. He said that if the baby doesn't come out before the due date (the 19th on next Wednesday), then I have to be admitted to the hospital around 4 or 5 pm on that due date. The 12 hours will be nothing until the next day around 5 am.. I am going to be induced for labor. I hope everything will be ok and please pray for me and the baby. :D

Has anyone has induced labor?

You and the baby will be fine, God is looking after you and the baby.

Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Right on Brian and you'll be in good hands once you're in the hospital. Yes, I had induced labor and all went well with me and my daughter. :thumb:

Wow... you're getting really close! Got any last minute pictures before you shrink to your normal self again. That way, we can see some "Before & After" pictures of you. Heh!

hahaha vamp! anyway Wild like i said on the other forum U ll be just fine just have faith in yrself and as for induced no i didn't have as i dont have a kid LOL just be yr self u ll be JUST fine i know u ll be saying things to ur hubby thay u ll wish u hadn't but all i can say is just have faith u ll be just fine :) heheh

You will be just fine, Wildkatress. :) Make sure you let us all know how everything goes!! I still remember the day my son was born - as if it was yesterday - and he's going to be four this summer! WOW how time flies.

Anyway, good luck. :) It'll be a day to remember for sure. :)

Wow, I didn't know that you're pregnant! Is it your first? Congratulations!! Inducing labor isn't too bad. I have had my first two pregnancies induced into labor already. My third labor came naturally. Thank GOD!!! :D

Inducing labor will not hurt you or the baby, except the labor will hurt you. Heh. (contraction, that is.)

Sarah, you're in my thoughts too! May you have a wonderful and healthy baby. :)

Induction

I hate to be nosy but why are they going to induce you? Is the baby measuring big or have you had a problem in the past? From what you have said it sounds like the doctor is jumping the gun on inducing. Some pregnancy's just are longer than others. 42 weeks is perfectly normal so I question why the induction.

The reason I am am asking is I have many areas of interest and I run a support group for women who are 40 + years old and who are pregnant. I have seen many times where Doctors say lets induce for no other reason than because they want to get the baby born when THEY want it and not when Mother Nature and the Baby decide.

No matter what I wish you the best on the upcoming arrival of your child.

WHOA! u are very lucky!!! good thing u sued this company..

i had sued General Dollar since last year in april 2003, cuz of i walked in there and looked for greeting cards for easter day andi turned left somehow i fell on a lil car and i got twisted right ankle very bad! then i walked with painful and i already told woman who casier ( with write down, cuz of i am deaf) explained her , she say oh i am sowwy then i told her that is all what u say?? she say yea.. i say it okay.. so i drove up to hositpal and called my mom and stepfather on cell phone to came ER, my right ankle got purple and very swell badly! so my mom got really piss off , after ER my mom took me to General Dollar, she explained there women, i was in car, then my mom came to me and told me that they say not know nothing, i say oh :bsflag: then she say ok drove up to store so short for me walked.. i put cart with walk.. painful! so my mom asked me which point that i spoke to , i pointed to woman, my mom say seeeee! that u! then my mom asked for the boss the phone number then she called the boss!! she really pissed off... BUT i am on processing still waiting on General Dollar, STILL WAIT AND STILL FIGHT! cuz of my right ankle still trouble sometime.. UGH!

It's because I wasn't dilated at all like I was supposed to and the baby seems to be getting big plus the baby seems too stubborn to come out.

First of all, I dont want being ego about my motherhood experiences.. I am pregnant and its my 6th due on this July.. my first 4th pregnancies, I had them all induced... Not because Dr's decisions.. or jumping the gun on inducing... its depends on indiviual for their risks and the baby.. Also, now days .. Drs are more concern about weights, health risks, measurement of baby being big, or longer can be risks... so the induction to help the pregnant mother to get going on concractions and soften on crevix then have happy deliver..

The reason I am am asking is I have many areas of interest and I run a support group for women who are 40 + years old and who are pregnant. Well, since you dont know about WildKaTReSS' background and her pregnancy.. she is going to be 21 and young mother and its her first baby.. I trusted her Dr is doing right thing for her.. Now days, Drs wouldnt do that like what you said "lets induce for no other eason than because they want to get the baby born......" She went to Dr's appt last monday, Dr is concern about her safety and doesnt dilated at all PLUS concern about her baby's size.. so its normal for Dr's decisions to make.. unless the mother's disagree with Dr's decisions then so forth their decisions will be made.. but I dont see anything wrong with it.

No matter what I wish you the best on the upcoming arrival of your child.
