Any update sis?...

Not that I know of, I supposed someone went over there yesterday, but haven't seen the pit bulls out yet.

What upsets me the most that some members here shows no lack of caring about how dogs roam around on someone's property makes it ok in their eyes, "Oh pit bulls are soo sweet" That's not the point here, the point here is all about r-e-s-p-e-c-t the public.

but what if one of my kids get attack will they care? probably not, that just shows me that dogs are all they care about not people nor kids.

A couple of you raise good points about pitbulls and other breeds and that's fine; however, it doesn't apply in this case. These pitbulls are roaming free...no fences, no leashes....and Cheri is supposed to keep in mind how nice some pitbulls are and try to check them out to see if they are nice?? Lol! Which would you rather do.....check out strange animals that roam free or protect yourself and your children? Oh and nevermind the city ordinances?

I love dogs, too but there's no question what I would do in this case, especially if I had young children and my neighbors' children. I'd try to have the owner locked up in a kennel and the roaming dogs put in the county jail! Lol!

Thank you Tousi!! That's my point. ;)

If some people don't like pitbulls thats fine, if some don't like cats that's fine too....Everyone not going to like every pet out there, or every dogs or every cats, etc....I could go on and on by listing all the pets, but I think everyone here got my point...

But the bottom line is, this isn't what this thread is about, it seem some pitbull supporters decide to jump in and say " they're sweet" okay good, but what does it have to do with dogs roaming freely without a leash or keeping their dogs on their own property?...:dunno2:

Cheri said:
And it's not always the owner's fault, dangerous dogs can snapped for no particularly reason at all however so.

In here Toronto, Ontario little boy 2 or 3 yrs old was just pat the dog which it is his grandmother's dog that he just pat this dog 2 or 3 yrs old till it does bite him without knowing and got 600 stiches and staples on his head which it look awful. I am not sure which 2 or 3 yrs old from dog or little boy it was long time ago not sure what years. Dog it can be goes snapped without know.

i forgot to mention that i support cheri and crazymomma that dogs SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED to roam free without the owner(s) in presence, leash and also dog licenses... i know that many states are now enforcing them! FINALLY! :thumb:
whenever we take her to the lake/park, the cops there always check everyone to see if their dogs are licensed!!! :thumb:

i don't appreciate it when people say that pitbulls are dangerous... cuz mine isn't... she is so spoiled and acts like a real toddler!!! the funny thing is... she dislikes other dogs.. but loves humans.. (isn't that strange!??? she is just overprotective of us and gets jealous if a dog steps into her "territory!" LOL )

i was just pointing out that a dog that i know that looks like cheri's, is not friendly at all and bites a few people that "poke" or is a "threat" to him... and he is not in the "dangerous category!".... if you catch my drift? he even growled at her 1st toddler for "pulling his ear"... and was ready to "bite" him when i caught him! jeez!!! :ugh:

so why pinpoint that pitbulls are dangerous??? there are some out there that are friendly because we as owners care for them deeply with TLC and treat them with respect too as opposed to those who "neglect", don't respect their dogs or even give them TLC at all!??? so like bearbeauty said, a lot of dogs (different breeds) get a bad rap too... not just pitbulls or rots...
like for an instance, an old friend had a pom... they have had a few over the years .. but one of them disliked people and even "bit" them if they came close to him!!! jeez! we think he had a "mental" problem or was abused by its previous owners... which is very sad... because i see this kind of situation happen all the time...

a close friend of mine had to get rid of her shetland collier dog (a year old) before christmas because he kept biting her MIL!!??? and bit her daughter once on the stomach for no reason-- it was a very loving and sweet then "snapped" (the dog was abused by her previous owners and neglected as well) and she was afraid that she would go after her 2 small toddlers... but kept the dog that i mentioned in the previous post that her husband dislikes--- out of guilt... so dogs are who they are because of the "OWNERS!" --- of course in some cases, some of them have "mental" problems...

i knew a few people who owned a rot(s)... and they were so sweet and even SPOILED by thinking they are a "child" by sitting on my lap! jeez! knowing they are "huge!!!" so like i said and many have too, it depends on their owner(s)...

i got bit by a german shepard in h.s. - does that mean all german shepards are considered dangerous??? heck no! he was just a "lemon" dog... finally the owners put him down after he bit them! JEEZ!!! :thumbd:

Yes it can be .. in here Toronto, Ontario little boy 2 or 3 yrs old was just pat the dog which it is his grandmother's dog that he just pat this dog 2 or 3 yrs old till it does bite him without knowing and got 600 stiches and staples on his head which it look awful. EXACTLY!!! thank you!!! :ty:

like bearbeauty said, many dogs have a rap! it can be any breed... and it is all up to the owner(s) on how the dogs should be trained, treated with TLC, etc... that is my point.... but of course ALL DOGS .. I MEAN ALL DOGS OF ALL BREEDS (NOT JUST PITBULLS, ROTS, ETC) SHOULD BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES NO MATTER WHAT!!!

Oh Now i get it.. Sorry Cheri..

in terms of the roaming.. I'd check with the city for leash Ordinaces(i think) and in most cases, owners would have fenced yards or leashes on the dogs. I know I've had dogs, we always kept them on leashes if we were outside. Letting your dog Roam free is never a good idea.. especially if people living nearby, or new neighbors that you haven't met yet, have not met the animals or the owners.

So I'd say Cheri did the right thing, in terms of asking the owners to put the dogs on leashes. I know almost every city or state has a leash law. And it's for all dogs, no matter the breed. And the owner allowing the dogs to run on Cheri's Property? That's Just plain Bad manners and RUDE! Least he could have done was ASK Cheri first.

I mean pitbull dog. little boy's grandmother's dog is pitbull

I accepted your apology BearBeauty and thank you! ;)

How come you kept saying the dog looks like my dog when you don't even know the name of the breed? :ugh: My dog is a yorkshire and I haven't seen a yorkie had attacked anyone before.

Yorkies typically get along well with cats and other dogs, and love to play together in groups. However, they are terriers, and even an old, sedentary lap dog may eagerly hunt rodents. Because they are so small, they are easily injured; They usually get along well with children

Remember Angel, my dog wouldn't even chase your cats. Lol!!

excuse me... i can't memorize every breed... jeez! why don't you NAME EVERY BREED in the book wihtout looking at the book??? :hmm:

no offense, but i didn't even know your dog was a yorkie... since he doesn't even look like one to me because of the face and size of your dog unless he is a yorkie mix??? he looks like my friends dog except for the color... my aunt owned 2 yorkies (pure bred yorkshire terriers) that lived to be over the age of 15...

this is what pure breed yorkies looks like:

 This thread is not about supporting Pit bulls, this thread is about respecting other people by putting a leash on pets. If you want to call me a mind narrow that's fine with me, I'm almost positive sure you have your own fears about something in life, it doesn't make me wrong for having fears, and it will not make you wrong for having fears either.

And where the hell did anyone say that we let pit bulls die? It seems like to me you don't care about people or kids, you care about animals? That's so fucked up.

Moderators just lock my thread. It's pointless now and it's not even going anywhere to my major point of this topic. Thank you. ;)

I don't like pitbull myself and they are ugly and dangerous. Here in Toledo, have a law that you cannot have more than 1 pitbull, which I am glad to hear about it. But at least, wish there is no pitbull at all.
