Programmed by whom?
The media.

Programmed?
From what I've seen, most of the media products support American Muslims, and criticize anti-Muslim activities. The media.

Do you feel that you are being programmed? Have your beliefs been changed by the media?
You beat me to it, Reba.
Exactly.
Also, it's the media that have endangered our troops, our churches, our people, etc and not just the book burning action per se. Had the media not reported on this none of this mock outrage would have happened.
Will the media pick up on this story...straight out of Dearborn, MI?
Dearborn schools, former Fordson principal are sued | freep.com | Detroit Free Press
Interesting.
What exactly was the story about? And what are the odds that this story will not hit the mainstream media?
The suit said Fadlallah, who became principal of Fordson in 2005, is a devout Muslim who used his position to promote Islam in hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions, systematically weeding out Christian teachers, coaches and other employees because of their beliefs.
The suit said Fagin, who became principal of Dearborn HS in 2005, is a devout Christian who used his position to promote Christianity in hiring, promotions and disciplinary actions, systematically weeding out non-Christian teachers, coaches and other employees because of their beliefs.
I am sorry but when I read Koran, all I see is hate and violence. There's absolutely no grace in it. It's very bitter, angry, and judgmental. It speaks low of Jews, infidels, and Christians.
Muslims think that the Jews and Christians altered their holy books and that Quran is the final book. Whatever.
If we burn bibles, I don't hear Christians saying "Death!" If we burn korans, we already get death threats on our heads.
If you've read the Koran, you know Arabic. I doubt this highly. I'm willing to set aside this doubt but I must ask you, have you read the Bible and Koran in their original languages? Name all three. I know I haven't.
Many wars and acts of violence are based on miscommunication, and some of it are genuine mistranslations ("altered"). Basic rule of thumb, most true believers of major religions do not support acts of violence. Do you really think that this one church in Florida represents a truer form of Christianity that supports the burning of others religious texts?
Ask Muslims in non-American countries if 9/11 was justifiable and/or carried out by true Muslims.
Think Germany was just full of Germans who were Nazi's and supported that government to the extent where they took pleasure in the violence that ensued? I highly recommend a semi-autobiography titled "Defying Hitler".
Since we live in America, we respect the First Amendment to freedom of speech (to an extent of course) and that includes - symbolically burning a specific book. Others people living in other countries might be prosecuted for this because it's spelled out in their laws. But that's not the source of fear and anxiety of what could happen if the burning does take place. It's the ignorance of believing that some great theological supremacy exists and provides a neat and tidy explanation for 9/11.
Passing the idea of it and the media authenticating the idea with pictures and video of the paster proclaiming the intention of burning the Koran will be used for propaganda for those "extremists" - both "Muslim" and "Christian".
Grow up and stop playing my dad can beat up my dad. Nobody is Superior or Inferior.
I have asked muslims from foreign countries about their feelings of 9/11.
The answer has ALWAYS BEEN, "Any friend of Israel is an enemy of Islam".
Take that to the bank.
(btw, what is a non-american country?)
It means out of USA.
"I don't care how holy somebody claims to be," God said. "If a person tells you it's My will that they kill someone, they're wrong. Got it? I don't care what religion you are, or who you think your enemy is, here it is one more time: No killing, in My name or anyone else's, ever again."
"We will definitely not burn the Quran," the Rev. Terry Jones told NBC's "Today" on Saturday "Not today, not ever." The burning had been planned for 6 p.m.
