Police Investigate Animal Abuse Case

In Nashville, a small dog was killed after it was held like a football and then kicked.

Gizmo, a miniature Yorkshire Terrier owned by Jelani Lewis, was killed after following Lewis outside the apartment.

The dog wandered to a grassy area while Lewis went to dump the garbage.

Lewis said he looked back to saw three guys surround his pet with one holding Gizmo like a football.

Lewis said he was stunned when one of the men kicked Gizmo into the air killing the dog.

Lewis ran the guys down and called police.

Police arrested Chad Crawford, 23. He was charged with cruelty to animals and vandalism.Crawford was released on bail.

The other two men were not charged in case.

Crawford could also be charged under the state's new aggravated animal cruelty statute, police said. That charge could mean up to a year in jail and a $2,500.

Newschannel 5 has learned no one has ever received the maximum penalty in Davidson County. More likely, if convicted, Crawford would be ordered to counseling.

kick on his arse is nothing... i'm more likely to kick on his balls :-x or his face.. those two will be painful..

Ugh! what an ugly motherfukin azzwipe bastard!! It really made me cry when i read that story! He deserves a huge kick in the balls where it hurts the most!!!! :rl:
