This is why i have no respect for law enforcement agencies.

Tayor,,, Why dont cops ignore vigilantes? At least were getting them off the streets so they dont waste tax payers dollars in the courts so lawyers can make plea bargans to the prositcuter.Vigilantes get the job done then the cops do. Look at bernard goetz. He shot 3 muggers on the NY subway 1 of them is Paralyzed from the chest down. He`ll never get to mug and rob anybody again. And he cant make a plea bargan on that. And goetz saved taxpayers dollars and the time and trouble that the cops would had wasted. If goetz didnt take the law into his own hands they would had mugged him and possibly goetz would been in the hospital and deal with medical bills. So i say vigilante justice is the way to go. Let everyone carry a gun and crime problems wouldnt be a big problem.

How is the cops suppose to know who broke in your house? You can't expect ALL the cases to be solved when they do not have any wintess or evidences to prove who broke in your home or who broke any crimes, you can't expect a cop to walk up to someone and say " hey I know you broke into Ravensteve's house ,I'm going to arrest you! " Good Grief Ravensteve...Cops are suppose to follow the laws by arrest those who broke the laws by any witness, or evidences to prove that this person is the one who did it....

We wouldn't have anyone out there to protect us from any crimes, so that why we pay taxes so those cops can protect us and put the bad guys in prison where they belong , but don't expect the cops to solved every cases they have without any evidences or else the bad guys will be walking out the court room freely, do you want the person to laugh at you cause you rather this person to go to prison for breaking into your home when the jury or the judge did not see no evidences that proves that this person is the one who broke into your home?....

Remember chandra levy that a politican gary condit was involved? This is the case cops protect politicans.Since when cops terrogate a politican? If youre an ordinary citenzen cops were be terrogating you for hours make sure the story comes out straght. Even the press says D.C police did a very poor job investigation gary condit. Thats why i dont like cops. They cover theyre own guilts up and protect the wealthy and the politicans.

Yes, I love that show, but it doesn't apply to like breaking into things such as homes, cars etc...but murder yeah....

Steve, This is one of those problems with shows like CSI...people think its real...and its not...it is a television show for crying out loud.. People watch some TV shows and think they are some type of lawyer. Even if it were real, most departments don't have the money for CSI stuff on every case....and it won't happen unless we were to live in a police state (have you voluntarily gone to your local police department to give a sample of your DNA....I didn't think so). Does your police department have your blood, hair, DNA, or even fingerprints on file?

As for the Chandra Leavy case, there has to be some evidence, or do you think the police can lock people up on a hunch? What if the receptionist at your doctors office came up missing....should they come and lock you up even if there is no evidence? I'm sure you think Condit should be thrown in jail based on a 'hunch' but what if it were you that were thrown in jail on a hunch? Funny how you are the only one who seems to be above the law, and everyone else should be thrown in jail even if there is no evidence. How do you positively know (with evidence) that Condit was guilty of murder? While the guy is an a-hole and a dirtbag for cheating on his wife, it doesn't make him a murderer...Where is your evidence that he committed the murder? Why should he be locked up because you have a feeling he did it? Even if they were to arrest him and charge him with it, it would still end up in the court system, and I would bet you that the case would have been thrown out for lack of evidence.

Regardless of all that, I am from the washington area and that news was on TV every day. The police and the media were on condits ass like you wouldn't believe. He was taken in for many interviews and was followed around. Hell, the police even went after his wife. How does that make him above the law?

Oh...and you have yet to answer any of my questions....again, you answer with more questions and a hissy fit.

OK...so there is no evidence of any crime, and NOTHING to point to condit other than he was sleeping with her (again, that doesn't make him a murderer). Something you fancifully left out of your statment is the man that was attacking women where her body was found . Thats right Steve....Chandra was a runner...and loved to jog through park....the same park that other female joggers were attacked. Murders are through the roof in DC, and a woman running in a park can be a target.
Why did you leave that out of your post and point the finger specifically at Condit?

Although Prostock, it would be nice to have all of that technology available to all departments. I watch those shows and think 'wouldn't that be neat'.

I'm sure steve would have been happy to have his house sealed off in plastic while 20 investigators go over his carpet..through his underwear drawer..through is household plumbing...and removed the paint off his walls all in the hopes of finding a hair of the guy who took his stereo.
What would be even funnier is taxes that come out of Steve's paycheck when every crime has to be handled like that. I won't even to start to do the math on 20 investigators working around the clock (getting paid by the hour)...and then all the lab testing that takes place. The DNA Testing alone can cost a lot of money. Some companies do it cheaper...Our costs run into the thousands (yeah steve...testing isn't free for us).

And steve, you could have always hired your own team of investigators to get that stuff done for you...or because solving crimes is so easy with the magic 8-ball, you could have done it yourself.

I has to add my post here over DNA testing where you mentioned in your post.
Yes, I know it's expensive but it's worth to avoid more murders, rapist, etc and save more humans alive after kill one human.
It took few months or years to arrest the same killer or rapist who hurt or kill more innoncent people if we dont support those idea. With DNA, it's faster to arrest killer or rapist after hurt ONLY one human.

For me, it's too expensive to lost humans to killers or rapist than DNA testing. I know DNA is expensive but it's worth to save humans life. IMO.

Taytor If gary condit didnt have anything to do with chandra disaperance. Why did he keep running from the press? Its a same thing a black guy runs from the cops on a chase. Why you think blacks run from cops? Cause theyre scared and they have a guilty body lang.And condits running from the press that looks like hes got something to hide. Why didnt condit just come out make an anouncement and say were help find chandra levy. When cops interview suspects they keep on asking over and over untill story adds up. But cops did not do that with gary condit. And gary condit refused to take a lie dectector test. When you refuse to take a lie dectector test that makes you look guilty.What if cops pull me over and think i was drinking and i refuse to take a breatherzier then cops would put me in jail .So cops do protect the wealthy and the politicans.And this is where condit and bill clinton belong.
