If people could earn that much at McDonald's here, I am sure competition for the jobs would be fierce.

I have to agree with you on that shel. But then again some people think they are entitled to $18/hr to do nothing.

I have worked at a fast food restaurant for 3 years..sometimes the work was hard especially when it was so busy. One has to be good at multitasking to be able to handle it.

Its not the hard workers I'm talking about its the bubblegum Betty's that lean on the countertop and refuse to do anything, then whine about the pay.

I worked at a Taco Johns, but I did horrible at it. I couldnt hear half the stuff around me, everything sound like it was as garbled mess.

I think that 18 AUD (Australia dollar) for JClarke s paypoll. 18 AUD = 16.43 USD. But not sure. Ask him about current dollar.
 
I am thinking about how the power keeps going on and off. Since I am on my laptop, it is not affecting my computer, but it is affecting my Internet. It's why it has been taking me forever to be able to post a message. :mad:

:shock: Minimum wage here is around $8... soon $10. I thought that was a lot. :lol:

Of course, you probably have a higher standard of living which makes for the need for $18 an hour.

In Fort McMurray, Alberta, Tim Horton's employees make around $20 an hour, an unheardof salary, but they have an extremely high standard of living as everyone makes close to 100 grand a year (oil sands). Unbelieveably, Tim Horton's has a lot of trouble finding anyone who will take up a job there. The reason being: $20 an hour can't even come close to paying the rent or bills in Fort McMurray.

am getting a cold, plus i am thinking of getting a portable dvd player since i have new dvds to watch, or shall i just get my laptop fixed for free?
there are many things wrong with it
keys r missing
cd/dvd thing does not work
the battery lasts 2 seconds whilst unplugged
the laptop refuses to turn on for a day every 2 weeks or so

but i dont want to be without my precious laptop for maybe 6 weeks :(

Just went shopping for gift wrappings, ribbons, bows, labels, cards and decorations for next year's Christmas. Saved $80!!! Yay!!! It is my tradition. :)

You definitely lead an exciting life!! I might do the same, but I would be sure to lose it.

I can even lose a Christmas present I only bought two weeks before!!:lol:

I bought 3 storage boxes (Christmasy style) for all the stuff I bought. The storage boxes were huge and were only $3 each..75% off! I wish I had bought more...but it said limit 3 per purchase. Oh well...

I just love doing that kind of stuff and I bought lime green and white/black wrappings with black lace ribbons and bows so my theme next year will be black/lime green. My hubby will kick my ass...lol!
