You're wrong Liebling, Terri Schiavo’s heart and lungs function just fine, and without aid, When someone is brain-dead they cannot breathe on their own, When someone is brain-damaged they can breate on their own. All she was getting was feeding tube be maintained in order to keep her body alive. Everyone needs food and water to keep themselves alive. She was only in vegetative state, she can hear, she can move her eyes. The problem is treatments, She wasn't getting the right treatment she needs, Michael been fighting in court a year later. So don't tell me he tried to help her because I don't buy it. He is a low greedy scum who lead two lives which had two women in his life. :ugh2:


I even talked to DHB and I asked him would you cheat on me if I was in Terri's condition, He said no. That's one of the good guys not the bad guys. Good guys would stood by his wife for better and worst in sickness and in health. If you're not a good guy, then you're better off not getting married. ;)

I don't see it has "putting someone to death". I see it as carrying out someone's verbal or written wishes. But, you're entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. Unfortunately, there's never going to be any agreement on this issue as long as people remain on opposite sides. I really feel what needs to happen is, people need to come to some kind of compromise when it comes to end of life issues.
 
I don't understand why it's okay for anyone to put their belove pets sleep to save their suffer but not human... What's wrong with that human? :confused: There're no comparision but pets and humans have same feeling how they suffering...


To me, I want my hubby to move on and enjoy his life and focus our children's future instead of sit and take care of me rest of life... because there're no chance to improve brain damaged. I didn't know them anymore... I can't love them... I can't talk to them... It's too much for my family to suffer to see me as doll... That's why I want to save their suffer but see them happy...

With eldest people is a different story because they are old, not brain damage... My hubby & I took care of my hubby's 90 years old great Aunt for 4 years until she died in 2000. It's work very very very hard, I tell you... It's not very easy job because she is a big baby which different as small baby... but with brain damage? I can image it must be worst than we did with Aunt... that's why my hubby & I agree since we know and thank Terri.
 
Hey, as you see, I wanted to stay neutral about this. What saddens me is that most of you were super-focus about "Wrong" on this man. It ease amazes me that most of you forgot most important thing... Know what it is?

Did you bother to make a "Living Will"? Most of people don't and that is WHAT this happens with Schavio. Schavio never made the "Living will" and that is THE PROBLEM!

The "Living Will" is very similiar to "Last Will and testaments" As we know this, "Last will and testament" is for those who already decease and the decision will be made on the last date of the "Last will and testament". "Living Will" is pretty much same thing with one exception and that is if this person gets into vegetable state, and can not make the decision EVEN that this person is STILL alive. So, if Schavio had made her "living will", the court WILL honor her "Living will" and make everything ALOT easier for everybody within the families. Unfortunately this didn't happen.

Hey, can you at least learn something from this issue? To make it alot easier for everybody... make that your own "Living will".

Wikipedia isn't a very reliable or very trustworty online encyclopedia...anyone CAN add, edit or take out words in any page... all they do is click on "Edit this page" without needing to apply for a membership. I would not be 100% sure with this information about Terri Schiavo. :/

Well, there was no complication until the scandal of Terri's case came to the world... That's exactly what people in the world including Europe thanks Terri's case for taught us and wake us up... There're crazy medias around Germany to take care and fix the new law over "Living Will" since Terris' case. We have Living Will in every clinics here in Germany now. We also can make our Living Will at Notary if we want to.

DHB, we all know how hard condition Michael and Terri's parents had through.. but what could we do for them? NOTHING all what I see in my opinion is Let Terri go and have her peace but not remove feeding tube.... just give her injection to put her sleep since there're no living will.

I have a question here... I am very curious... Did this man who is going to marry this woman... ask his future wife to make the "Living will"? I will dispise him if he didn't.

As I said before and once again I have no problem with pulling the plug from a life support machine but starving someone to death slowly that I have a problem with.....

Beside no one knows the truth whether this is what Terri really wanted cause Michael said once he didn't know if this is what she wanted, then he changed his story around saying this is what his wife wanted....Sounds to me he can't tell the truth....so therefore there was no verbal or written agreement....I have no sympathy for Michael whatsoever since the day he left his wife for another woman while his wife lay in bed helpless....I'm sorry if this sounds a bit harsh but this is how I feel....
 
Thanks to Cheri, she just clarified with me. Wow Michael already married. Okay, I was WONDERING if his new wife already made her "Living will? If not, then Michael didn't learn his lesson and truly scumbag.
 
Liebling you're correct, this is a big wake up call for many of us, now that some of us already have a living will, so in case something happen to us, then our loved ones will know what to do.....

Your probably are right. There is no way we will know til the day comes. Hope that none of us will have to repeat this same mistake.

The problem is Terri is not as bad as a person with heart-lung failure and whole-brain death. Terri did breathes on her own, Why does it had to be a fate for her to either live or die? That's what put a knob in my stomach because people don't realized that you killed a person who did breathes on her own. I didn't realized that we are allow to committed murder. You cannot compare Terri with others who are hooked up on machines. In Terri case was a lot different from people who are/were in deep coma. I think I've said pretty much how I feel. I know that Terri's situation had woke up a lot of us, It's up to each of us what we want to do if we were in Terri's condition and now if I was in her place, I would want my husband to fight to get me the right treatment I need. If it takes forever let it be, It's all about having faith and courage to believe that you'll get a second chance at living a normal life. But, hey that's me. ;)
 
If my husband is like her, and I will NEVER to pull the plug and let him starve to death. Come on.. Think about. I said the wedding vows to him. And I am staying with him. He can breathe, his liver and heart are working, but need help with feeding. There are very chances that he would make a good progress. But I will NEVER leave my husband or having a boyfriend behind my husband's back. No Way!

I don't agree that Michael married his long time girlfriend, and the mother of his kids. He was CHEATING his wife during their marriage. :ugh: I can't believe he did that. I am sure he was wanting her to die and get the money and move on.
 
Yes, everybody gets point here. Really if Micahel did what is really wrong. There will ALWAYS be punishment for him. God is there, too great, and above us and he will take care of him. So, I rather let God take care of Michael's consequences.

It is true that it is really cruel to starve one's to death, I can't image doing that to anyone! I would NEVER do that to Cheri, my son, and my son's mother!

I'm reading some posts here that some of you said you rather your partner to pull the plug from a life support machine, remember Terri was NOT on any life support machine, her husband starve his lovely wife to death slowly as each day went by until she finally died, so tell me if this something you rather to go thru?.... :ugh:
 
Nope.... I would want to be alive at all costs because you never know a miracle could happen.
