I just got back from walking ten miles.

This morning, I woke up and realized that I had a DVD that was due at noon. I couldn't find anyone to give me a ride so I thought I'd walk there just for the hell of it. From here to Blockbuster is four miles. I walked there in a blizzard. After Blockbuster, I visited a few stores in that plaza. Afterwards, I walked back. On the way back, I stopped by Hooters for lunch. After that, I continued walking. I stopped by the mall and walked over a mile in there. After that, I walked more and visited some stores in another plaza across the street. Finally, I headed back to my room. Whew! Ten miles! Heh!

Anyone ever do something like that? I've walked more before, but never really thought about it.

I walked from New Jersey to California. Can you beat that?

Aww... bullshit! Don't pull that Forrest Gump baloney on me! :fu:

I've done the same.. but not that far.. I had to return a movie to blockbuster as well, so i laced up my walking shoes and left. Its a mile and a half one way, I could have taken the bus but the only money I had was the money that would take me to work. It was like almost 80 degrees and really humid.

Another time I had to return a book to a church (long story) and I biked 4 miles there, and then decided to bike to my old house, which was 4 more miles away. I biked there, and then my best friend wasnt home, so i biked back. I think i ws 13? I came back and later confessed to my dad about what I had done and he grounded me for a week of no biking.. :( It was such a great week too! The week after my punishment was done, it rained! So I had like 2 weeks punishment ;)

:laugh2: @ Kev and Vamp.

There has been times when I walked a lot but didn't get the chance to count how many miles. Heh.

Gee, you're not the only one here. When I was in college, I had no car and sometimes I didn't have a ride available so I had to walk a couple of miles to food stores or something under dry and 100+ degrees weather. It's good thing that I walked a lot and used to it, then I could deal with the heat and crap. But I couldn't deal with the Blizzard! Go you, Vamp!

I’ve been on two 50 mile solo hikes—one in Sequoia National Park, and one in Zion National Park. I hit late season thundershowers both times. I had to sleep in wet clothes and a wet sleeping bag every night on both trips. Someday I’m going to do the entire John Muir Trail, which starts at the summit of Mt. Whitney in Sequoia National Park and ends at Happy Isles in Yosemite National Park—211 miles total. When I was younger, I wanted to the entire Pacific Crest Trail, which starts at the US-Mexico border and ends at Manning Provincial Park in British Columbia—2650 miles. But now I have too many responsibilities to take off on a six month trip.

Yes, I used to bike from my home to the game arcade during the wintertime of 1980 and 1981 because I was so addicted to play Pacman and other arcade games at that time. The arcade was officially closed around the year of 1982 or 1983.. Wahh!!

Ok, I even rode my bike from my home to my brother's local high school where I watched my high school sports there. It was 3 miles each back and forth.

One night, I went to downtown Cleveland for some parties at someone's house. The Deaf guy had a red mustang and asked some of us to join him for a wild ride. Of course, I joined him.. my gosh.. he drove wildly!! Even his car flew like that high on the road..guess what? the curbutor (sp) got fucked up...he was pissed off like hell....we end up walking all the way back to someone's apt.. gosh..it was hell long walk.. I could say at least 5-10 miles cuz I was not sure how long I've walked from the area where his mustang broke down to someone's apt. Gee.
