Teen Scarred After Artist Inks 56 Tattoos on Face

I think this girl is from Belgium. They might not have "waivers" over there like many places here in the US do.

But I'm in total agreement about that it hurts and she could not have just fallen asleep. I have 2 tats myself and they hurt! Somebody in this case isn't telling the truth here.

I wanted to add...I think the facial area is very sensitive to pain..probably more than most areas of the body so I find it interesting that she was able to "fall asleep" with a needle jabbing away especially near her eye! :eek3:

Exactly what I thought so...

It would make you fall sleep with no pain feeling when they tattoo back of your body but face?

I wonder if the tatoo artist will have to draft up an agreement for all of his customers to sign before getting a tatoo to prevent this issue again?
The tattooist mentioned doing something like this from now on to avoid situations like this in the future.

I just read that the girl has admitted to lieing about the whole thing!.....And the tattoo artist is taking steps to "protect" himself next time!....Guess he wised up real fast after this mess!

Speaking of tattoo's.....one of my ex-b/f had my name tattooed on his chest....he asked me to please have his name tattooed on me also....

WTF?!!....No way!...I'm not afraid of the pain....I just know better....and we broke it off later on down the line anyway!...So, he's left with my name still on his chest!....As for me....I'm tattoo-free!

That's the number one thing that I am keeping in mind when getting a tattoo.

For me, it has to be something very simple and something that cannot be changed.

For instance, my birthday can't be changed. Therefore, having a small simple symbol of Aries would be good enough for me.

I know some people who get tattoos of something, then change their mind and get tattoos of something else, then change their minds again... until they have a bunch of tattoos on their bodies that don't make sense.

I have a couple friends who thought about having Bible verses tattooed on their arms or back. They kept putting it off so long that they realized that the verse they liked no longer applied to them. So, they were glad that they didn't get those tattooed. Whew! ;)

Yep!....And a friend of mine had "born to raise hell" on her arm...."Frank" on her fingers....."cocaine" on her ankle....."don't tread on me" on her chest........These tattoo's were done years ago.....she's gotten older now, and is sooooo sorry!!!....It looks really nasty.....and she covers them up!!

Teen Kimberly Vlaminck with 56 star tattoos on her face admits she wanted them the whole time

It was merely a case of buyer’s remorse.

Last week, Belgian teen Kimberly Vlaminck told reporters she fell asleep while getting a tattoo and woke up to find 56 stars inked on the left side of her face when she had asked for 3.

“It is terrible for me. I cannot go out on to the street. I look like a freak,” Vlaminck said at the time.

It turns out she was awake the whole time, had asked for all 56 of the stars, and was “fully aware” of what tattoo artist Rouslan Toumaniantz was doing, the Daily Mail reports.

The lie began when she came home with her newly decorated face and her father was very upset.

“I asked for 56 stars and initially adored them. But when my father saw them, he was furious,” Vlaminck told a Dutch TV crew. “So I said I fell asleep and that the tattooist had made a mistake.”

Toumaniantz has always maintained that he had understood Vlaminck correctly and she had asked for all 56 stars. But when the story was initially reported Toumaniantz said he would help pay for the tattoo removal because his customer was unsatisfied. He has now withdrawn that offer.

Oh boy!! thanks for the update news.

I notice that she wore a black with lots of white stars sweat hood jacket. I got under the impression that she did like stars for the whole time. Now she admits it. poor tattoonist but at least she admits.

I agree. Having a tattoo is permanent (unless you have deep pocket to get it laser-removed). That is why I thought LONG and HARD before I decided to get my tattoo. I had to make sure it was something I would not regret in the long run.

Not that it is bad to have a tattoo but when it becomes too much, that's where it goes wrong because it just adds up (or rather, overlapped) in the picture.

I've seen several of my friends that got their tattoos when they were younger and now they didn't like it. So, They would get another tattoo to "cover" it up on top of it, provided if it is possible for it to be covered up.

Anyway, About this thread - Why would the girl want 56 stars tattooed on her face? I mean, in my opinion, that's too much to be asking for it but hey, if that's what the girl wants, she's going to have to live with it.

They look like stickers due to the bumpy nature of them. Interesting.
Yeah. That's normal for tattoos that are inked solid. They do go down eventually when the skin heals, but it also varies on the skin... the kind of tattoo... ink... etc.

To me, they look like blue star-shaped blisters.
