I hate it when pple serve me tea with a peeled lemon.
For me, it's precisely the lemon's skin that gives the whole flavor to the tea.

Don't bother otherwise!

What do I do when I have guests over, I serve TWO little dessert plates
- one with peeled lemon slices, one with un-peeled,
so the guests can chose to their own liking.

I wish everybody could get the drift, and realize that different pple have different tastes, and what not, hmmmm.

I LOVE and am addicted to water with freshly squeezed lemon in it. I drink at least 6 cups of that EVERY night. I am addicted to it. As for lemon peels, they have never bothered me.

I have NEVER had iced tea served with a lemon sans peel; ever. That just sounds really weird to me. I prefer it with the lemon peel on; btw.

I pour concentrate lemon juice into my water.

Likewise. In fact, I can't drink water without flavoring it with things. I usually use lemon, but I've also used other very creative ways to flavor my water. :giggle:

I don't care much for iced tea or sweet tea. But I've always taken my drinks with lemon or lime peels when people serve them either a wedge of lemons or limes. Serving drinks sans peel just seems weird to me.

I drink all kind of teas - tea with nothing in it, tea with lemon, tea with lemon and sugar or honey, tea with milk.

My favorite brand is Earl Grey.

But Earl Grey is too flavored for having it with lemon, so for this I have no-flavor tea like English breakfast, for example.

I however prefer a loose tea, from a very big leaf - is less "dusty" this way.

I used to drink very, very strong tea until I got stomach problems from too much aspirin
-then I had to settle with a weak tea, uggh.

But if you must, you must, period.
I am glad I can still enjoy it at all :)

As for the lemon water- try it with fresh peppermint sprig or two - it's fantastic!

btw when I was pregnant, I couldn't have enough of carbonated water with squeezed lemon, lol
this, and rinsing my mouth with the original kind Listerine (the yellow/brown bottle one)

In all my years I have never been served a peeled lemon. The best flavor, the oils, are in the peel. True!
If someone served me one I think I would try to be polite, but southern sweet tea needs real lemon with peels.

I've never seen a peeled lemon wedge or slice served with a glass of water or iced tea.

I wouldn't even know what a peeled lemon looks like..... peeled orange yes, but lemon?!

The best tea I've ever had was in Poland, it was a tall glass of hot tea served with a cinnamon stick, a few cloves, cubed apples, slices of lemons and oranges and a bit of honey. The ultimate comfort tea on a cold rainy day.

I've never seen a peeled lemon slice served with any beverages, that's weird.

Problems with skins of any fruits, they are filled with pesticide. Hard to find organic ones. I love skin of lemons too but wondering how much I had been consume them for many years with pesticides.

i dont like the lemons to have skin because in a resterant i have nothing to do with them but put them to the bottom of the glass the it looks like a big toenail.
