Super Bowl Commercials

I saw it; I have known for a week that it was to be shown during the Super Bowl pre-game show; this show lasted 4 1/2 hours and then the game started. The commercial ran 2 hrs 10 minutes into the pre-game show.

I read in the newspapers, on several blogs, etc about the ad airing during the pre-game show so it wasn't like it was a secret. Even Pepsi said it. I wish I had thought to mention it here on AD in case people overlooked the word, "pre-game". The pre-game show was 4 1/2 hrs long on the same channel and the game started right after that.

How many people like football enough to sit thru a 4 1/2 hr pre-game show just to catch a one minute commercial? Lol, well, I do and I saw the ad.

However, I am sure most of y'all saw the ad prior to Sunday, anyway. For me it was the same except on a 55 inch screen! :giggle:

Actually, Pre-game and before the game start I had my TV on before the pre game came on. So When I turned my tv on at 5 30 PM,,, there was no sign of two deaf guys in the "TV" commerical. The game is in fact did lasted 4 1/2 hours long. But I have not seen it before the pre game. My TV was on since 5 30 and the game here started at 6:30 PM. So pepsi commerical not show it about two deaf guys. Unless they decided not to air it.

Look for Boult's post about Pepsi commerical being aired during pre-game show.

He said...

Actually, Pepsi made it clear that they will air it during pre-game show not during the game in their press release.

Pepsi USA - Bob's House the press release is there in pdf.

FYI: Pre-game show started at 1 pm till 5 pm so the commerical did come on few times according to my sister. Then the real game started at 5 pm hence why you all didnt see it. I couldnt see it cuz my son was watching tv but thats ok cuz I am not a fan of football anyway. lol :)

Where did it say not during the game on their press release? all it stated was "Slated to air on the pre-game show on FOX, the commercial features Pepsi-Cola and Lay’s Potato Chips" , therefore I don't find this crystal clear enough to me.

I wasn't the only one that did not know about the pepsi commercial was going to show during the pre-game only...

It said slated (slate mean schedule) to air on the pre-game show on FOX. that is clear to me which mean it will air during pre-game not during the game. hope this helps.

It may be to some of you but not all, as most of us had missed it because we assumed that it will be on during the super bowl game also.

Only wish it was more specific, but sadly it wasn't, not to me.

Reason-like?

- AGBell pulled Pepsi/deaf tv commerical out for better (Justin Timberlake) tv commerical?.

- They pulled it out due (FYI, I was told....) deaf actors asked them to paid them for their acting and AGbell won't ahve to paid them and pulled it out avoid ADA lawsuit if they put it on TV?.

- Almost all Super Bowl's tv commericals without cc that might AGBell think - why not : not paid CC like other tv commerical and to think useless pepsi commerical for deaf community?.

- Coca~cola took over Super Bowl to squeeze Pepsi commerical out?.

- No room tv commerical for Pepsi-deaf ad?

- People voted pepsi-deaf off?

And wait and see on respone from AGBell. :|

Me too, I saw all and those were captioned too. But you have to understand major stations will support CC but small stations in small towns might not support CC because lack of fund.

EDIT: oh, nagjo was talking about those ads on online. Sorry I misunderstood.

That's strange considering that I live in a big city. So, basically, in some areas all of the commercials were captioned while in others, they werent? Interesting.

Yeah.

Perhaps, it has something to do with the kind of television that people were watching the game on?

I know that there has been CC problems with HD televisions. :dunno:
