wow, 13 deaths since March. that's bad. those teenagers are seeing cars turned into clam chowder. they are wasting their money on it. they should know that they can get killed from that dangerous sport. they know better that's street racing is illegal.

why can't they take them to the local drag strips and race instead.
ah well, teenagers are generally stubborn and think they are invicible.

Sometime, polices can be BS to say that some parts were being stolen which weren't true.
Otherwise, some people have their heart for street racing and they will not stop until they grow out from them.

When police popped open the hood, Hoang said, they found a stolen transmission. Hoang flashed a receipt for the transmission he bought from his father who runs an auto shop and doubted the item was hot.

How hell police can see transmission inside the car?! Only way to take transmission out and check ID. Stupid.

How about people that who own car with payment? If car was crushed due illegal race since payment is existing then would piss bank off.

Racing on freeway looks stupid to me, also it would be worse if people own car with payment, when not pay off to their bank.

Nevermind, I talked to few coworker during break time. They own Honda and they said you can see VIN on transmission at side of inline engine.

I been watch TLC TV show about thief from any engines parts. They use set up video records underneath and inside vehicle. Mechanic did took good parts out then put cheap or soon to be wore out put in there. Anyway they busted. All mechanic and owner start laughing their ass way to the police station. Guess what????? they show monitor to guys......they didn't any take words for that. funny I see their face look like dumbfound, other one guy said I have no comments I want lawyer.... that is it LMAOOO. I forget title of show on TLC TV which is from last year.

poor young kids investment their money is gone. fell victim to ripe off from owners or dealers who is selling parts actual it was from thief. Many kids is unaware about those parts where did come from. That is stinks.

Alot of Mexicans are love to racing or drift in anywhere, mostly are young adult.

Blame the movies that glamourized it - fastfurious/tokyo drift etc. Of course it WAS happening way before that but I'm pretty certian the numbers increased after those movies.

There's another movie... American Graffiti.

Although, they shouldn't blame the movies for the street racing.

seen alot of souped up cars .. worked on some of them while i was younger like Nissian , toyota surpas, old dodge colt, mustangs, etc.. the young people WILL find a way to race.. anywhere even inside an abonded warehouse or a road that people never use, etc.....

If it is happening to my car, I'd be pissed off, only if there are none of negotiation, or agreement were involved.
I would rather them to revoke my license instead of crushing my own car.
It is very bad decision by the authorities.
